Same... Unfortunately. When music festivals happen I wish I could rent out my place, go on vacation, and cover a couple months of rent!

Well, I own my place ... but the association rules prohibit this. Several years back when Chicago was in the running for a summer olympics, a friend of mine and I talked about it. She would have moved in here for the duration, renting out her place (because she could) and we'd work out a split. We wouldn't have been able to leave town.

Just as well. Would take months to get the smell of patchouli out of your home.

Lol ... I actually like patchouli ... I don't wear it, or have it around, but I like the smell.

In 2008 we stayed at a "backpacker" in Johannesburg. The owner was planning to cram in a couple of dozen people during the 2010 World Cup at a price that would allow him to pay off the house.
