Game Thread: Oakland A's @ Twins, 7:10 p.m.CDT

[twinsnorth49]

The Twins own this game. Everyone relax!

I'm with ya! Especially with it being the 6th inning and all.

[Riverbrian]

I wish I were as convinced of that as you appear to be.

The rules clearly state that both teams get a chance to bat.

[MNT1996]

Harper is getting exposed. The only reliable one out there is Rogers.

[IndyTwinsFan]

Wish harder.

I'd love to. The only problem is that the general ineptitude of the offense recently is not giving me that nice warm and fuzzy feeling.

And the deficit keeps getting bigger.

[operation mindcrime]

Wish harder.

Wish in one hand, crap in the other!

[tvagle]

Not to give anything away but FREE JD (from the Junior Bomba Squad)

[yarnivek1972]

All 3 hits this inning were off Harper’s curve ball...

You're doing it wrong.

I'm not sure but something is clearly wrong.

I've never ever seen runs produced by the other team.

What is going on?

[Blake]

Speaking of arson squads…..

[IndyTwinsFan]

You're doing it wrong.

The right way is??

[MNT1996]

Teams are catching onto his shtick. There's a reason he hasn't been many major league teams.

[ashbury]

You're doing it wrong.

Don't be too tough on them. They have terrible, terrible luck. They show up just after the other team has something good happen.

With better luck, they'd have been here for Marwin's bomb and could have celebrated.

[tvagle]

Another ball thrown to a Twins catcher that glances off the edge of their glove

(I know he would have been safe anyway) but still

/self edit...just trying to divert from the bullpen bashing

[jz7233]

With Harper's stuff, he is not going to last long in the major league.

[mickeymental]

mmm. bullpen.

[operation mindcrime]

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! What an abysmal outing from Ryne Harper!!!!!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Ok boys, need those late inning bats, like last night.

This should get some bites....

[Danchat]

It stinks Harper gave up the lead here, but I think it's worth saying that Harper has given up more than one run just 3 times in 42 appearances - one of those times being the 18th inning when it was the third straight day he pitched.

It would be nice to get a couple more proven relievers in the bullpen, though...

[twinsnorth49]

Wish in one hand, crap in the other!

If you prefer.

[tvagle]

I sure hope that wasn't the Twins memorial Dumpster for Diving

[jz7233]

All 3 hits this inning were off Harper’s curve ball...

They have been sitting on his curve balls. Soon all the major league hitters are going to sit on his extremely slow curve balls.

Harper was throwing curve balls? They weren't curving much...

[Mill1634]

Harper didn't have his fastball location tonight. When a pitcher only has one pitch, no matter how good it is, they are going to get hit around.

[bighat]

Indians win again. Rats!

What is going on?

I know it's fun to be a homer and pretend everything is fine, but look at Harper's recent stats from an objective point of view. He's given up 10 runs in his past 18 innings. Teams are catching onto him.

[twinsnorth49]

The right way is??

For you? Probably walking away.

I didn’t expect the A’s to score any runs this series...

Castro is due

I had to look up the definition of Shtick:

one's special trait, interest, or activity

Curveball's could be a shtick.

Birdwatching could be a shtick.

Telling people how terrible someone is over and over again could be a shtick.
