Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Nobody wants to pitch to Sano?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I had to look up the definition of Shtick: one's special trait, interest, or activity Curveball's could be a shtick. Birdwatching could be a shtick.Telling people how terrible someone is over and over again could be a shtick. This has been my first time calling out Harper ever. Relax.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Sano's eye has been so good this series. How about his Rib?
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 I love Roy Smalley. Just not as a broadcaster.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I know it's fun to be a homer and pretend everything is fine, but look at Harper's recent stats from an objective point of view. He's given up 10 runs in his past 18 innings. Teams are catching onto him. You giving lessons on objectivity
Darius Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Sano has been pretty incredible at the plate lately.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 This has been my first time calling out Harper ever. Relax. You telling someone to relax.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I know it's fun to be a homer and pretend everything is fine, but look at Harper's recent stats from an objective point of view. He's given up 10 runs in his past 18 innings. Teams are catching onto him. I promise I will. But in return... I request that you review your own stats and take notice of the percentage of "this blows" "he sucks" and "the season is over" posts.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 You giving lessons on objectivity I'm not giving any lessons. I'm just giving his recent stats. Chill out.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Now that I've looked Harper's up, I also want to find out how many times our relievers gave up more than one run in an outing: (pitcher - appearances / # of times given up more than 1 run (percentage)) Harper - 42 / 3 (7%)Rogers - 36 / 1 (2.8%)May - 40 / 5 (12.5%)Parker - 34 / 4 (11.8%)Magill - 28 / 4 (14.3%)Duffey - 27 / 3 (11.1%)Morin - 23 / 1 (4.3%)Hildenberger - 19 / 6 (31.6%)Mejia - 13 - 4 (30.8%) (this does not count unearned runs, so for example, Magill's 6 run outing yesterday didn't count)
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Sano has been pretty incredible at the plate lately.Certainly appears as though something has begun clicking for him lately. Almost seems like a different hitter than he did not all that long ago. Whatever it is, I hope he stays on top of it!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I'm not giving any lessons. I'm just giving his recent stats. Chill out. I live in Canada, never a problem.

You can criticize, and still make it fun. (Bat signal to LaBombo...)
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 This has been my first time calling out Harper ever. Relax. The score is 5-3... We are behind... It's the 7th inning... This is me.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I have every right to type out my rants online. You can ignore them if you would like. 2nd sentence... Anyone who matters is already there. 1st Sentence... Would you like to place a wager on that one?
