stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Good morning! The Twins go for a sweep of their three-game series (and homestand) today. Weather may be a factor with thundershowers forecast today. The Twins have had the good fortune of facing a Tampa Bay team on the third leg of a three-city, two coast road trip. The Rays haven’t been sharp in the field or on the bases and the Twins have beaten two good pitchers. Today, Martín Pérez is scheduled to try again to win his eighth game. Pérez’ command and velocity have been off in his most recent starts. Tampa knocked him around in his previous start against the Rays. Tampa’s starter is listed as Stanek. I believe he will be their opener with a primary pitcher to follow. The Twins are beat up. LaMonte Wade was recalled this morning, so someone will be put on the injured list or demoted. Who starts in the outfield today? We will see. I will be attending today’s tilt, seated in an “old people” section. I will bring umbrella and poncho, hoping to stay dry. If someone could provide lineups when they are posted, it would be appreciated. Thanks! Go Twins!

Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 There is an old people section? How differs it from the rest of the stadium? The seats are hard-wired to the speaker system and come with headphones. Plus, the seats are actually potty chairs in order to cut down on the running to the bathrooms. Oh, and Wally the Beer Guy hands out GAS-X with each brewski. Other than that its pretty much the same as the rest of the seating.
Jake24 Provisional Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Looking at the radar it looks like this may end up being an evening tilt.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 No Wade in the OF? I wonder if he is still making his way to the cities. Maybe a weather delay will get him in the lineup. Honestly, another off-day would be just what the doctor ordered.
TouchEmAllGuy Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Has the game been delayed yet?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Any news? I’m on the light rail to the ballpark.

mickeymental Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 My turtle is injuredIs your turtle alive or unconscious? If they are unconscious, they may need oxygen. I wouldn’t recommend mouth to mouth, however a light puff of air in their face may help for oxygen. If they are bleeding heavily, you need to stop it. To slow the bleeding, cool your turtle down. You should clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide or Beta dine to prevent any infection.Your turtle may be in shock For at least 48 hours you should cover them with a clean towel and keep them in a clean, cool, dry place. You should clean the wound regularly. Severed limbs may heal over with no complications in most cases. The affected area will heal itself as best as it can. The part that won’t heal will just shrivel up and fall away. It is your responsibility to keep it clean. If infection occurs, take your turtle to the vet. Leave your turtle alone to heal, but do the necessary tasks.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 What are the odds we get 9 innings in?Less than the odds we get 8.5 innings in!
twins1095 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 I read something that Perez's velocity was down in his last start. Watching the gun early in his start today. fastball looks to be 91-93 rather than 94-96. Any concerns?
