Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Darn... I think we really could have done something against Cimber there. Marwin just barely missed a 2 run HR.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Parker is cooked. I'm fine not giving Kimbrel $45 million, but they will have to give up prospects instead. In the meantime, sign Kuchel and put Pineda in the bullpen.
Jake24 Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I just cant see Falvey and Levine pulling the trigger on a couple stud relievers anytime soon. Its really a slap in the face to all us fans.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I guess that depends on whether one considers Capps legit. A) I admitted it didn't work out right off the bat.B] He was a "proven closer."C) They sure gave up legit to get him. Verdict: I think he counts, and I hope to the gods the next front office that tries does better.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I just cant see Falvey and Levine pulling the trigger on a couple stud relievers anytime soon. Its really a slap in the face to all us fans.Shhh the window isn’t open yet
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Darn... I think we really could have done something against Cimber there. Marwin just barely missed a 2 run HR.Well, he took a big swing. Not sure that's "just missed."
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Twins need to win tomorrow or else Cleveland is going to be right back in the division race.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 If I told you Tyler clippard would start for the Indians tonight, we’d score 7 runs...would you think we’d have won?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I just cant see Falvey and Levine pulling the trigger on a couple stud relievers anytime soon. Its really a slap in the face to all us fans.Well, trades won't happen for at least four weeks, more like seven. So I doubt anyone adds help any time soon.....
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 This is kind of getting worrying. Pitching help needs to be a priority. Not good.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I just cant see Falvey and Levine pulling the trigger on a couple stud relievers anytime soon. Its really a slap in the face to all us fans.I definitely can see it happening. It's just hard to imagine because Falvine hasn't had the opportunity with a club in a position like this so there's no precedent. Well, he took a big swing. Not sure that's "just missed."They say when you hit the ball directly backwards, you were closing to hitting it... or however that saying goes.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 The Twins have led a blessed life in 2019, with the hot start and Cleveland spinning its wheels. It would suck if it’s the Twins who wakes up Cleveland and this becomes a race again. Although the games this summer would be funner.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 So now they are getting the homers? I thought it was our turn... My bad. I jinxed us, didn't i?
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Twins need to win tomorrow or else Cleveland is going to be right back in the division race. with the Carrasco news, I'm more worried about the White Sox than the Indians. The White Sox have a 2001 Twins feel about them.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Well I, for one, am going to assume that they called the game for rain.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 My money is on Parker being better than Kimbrel the rest of the year. And that’s not saying much, I’m pegging Parker for about a 4.50 ERA. There are better options than a guy who skipped spring training and hasn’t pitched since last year.Unfortunately, he pitches for the Astros now.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 If the Twins really were after Kimbrel, the end of this game shouldn’t be stopping their momentum in finding upgrades.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Duffey is who we thought he was.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 If the Twins really were after Kimbrel, the end of this game shouldn’t be stopping there momentum in finding upgrades. in four to seven weeks, sure. He was the one available before that. Even then, do you think the will really trade stud prospects?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 If the Twins really were after Kimbrel, the end of this game shouldn’t be stopping their momentum in finding upgrades. With all due respect, which other world class reliever is out there freely available?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Duffey is who we thought he was.We did let em off the hook
Jake24 Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 I don't see how you could have any basis for this. I'd be the other side and give you odds.Like i mentioned earlier. Its been forever since they made a deal to bolster the team.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Duffy is the worst tease. Every time you think maybe he figured something out...no.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 La maquina is gonna need to go 7 tomorrow to right the ship
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Like i mentioned earlier. Its been forever since they made a deal to bolster the team.To be fair, this front office hasn't been around forever.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 The number of Twins relievers I have any confidence in to pitch in the late innings of close games is down to 1 (Rogers).
