jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 First person to ever describe a trip to Detroit as the “bright side”From what I understand, Comerica is about as "bright side" as Detroit gets
gil4 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Mike, Jake, Mark. All four letter names. What do you expect after 2K miles and very little sleep? At least the 4-letter words you chose weren't the kind that gets you in trouble.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 I was sure that was a goner. Twins would be wise to work some counts with magoobehind the plate
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Thrillden, as I call itDepending on your age, you could have "thrilled" with my bros. Lol
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 In the strike zone. Yeah this ump is blind as a bat
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Trout is good and all, I guess, but he's no LaStella.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Detroit and Philly are still on my list of major league cities to see a game in. Philly definitely was a cool park. However, quality of teams aside, Baltimore might have been a tad cooler. It blends in beautifully with it's surroundings, whereas Citizens Bank Park, while very cool also, is located outside of town along with Lincoln Financial and Wells Fargo Arena.

twins_89 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 It seems like the pitchers in a lot of recent games have done really well only to struggle getting the last out in the 5th inning.
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Oooh boy - dodged a bullet there. Can we get a few more runs for Odorizzi?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 (True Story) My wife and youngest son went to the Panda Buffet last night for supper. I'm next to my son dishing up some food and a well dressed guy appears on my right. The guy was former North Dakota Governor Ed Schafer. I did a double take and the Governor notices me looking at him and says "Hello". I respond with "Hello... You know... I never took you for an all-you-can-eat guy". He laughed and says I've been here before and the food is good". My son was next to me and I turn to my Son and say "This is former Governor of North Dakota Ed Schafer... You may not remember him because he was the Governor when you were born". The Governor looks at me and says "Ed Actually" and then he shakes my son's hand and says "Nice to meet you". I was confused because I was sure that I said "Ed". I get back to the table and my son said "Dad you said Ed" and I was relieved because I usually have horrible names that I use for any politician. (True Story)Thinking about some of his recent op-eds, it’s possible he misremembered and thought his last name was Actually.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Odorizzi had strike 3 for the third out a couple batters ago. Any runs that would score this inning should be classified as ump-earned runs. I want that stat created and published in Baseball Reference, ESPN and Fangraphs.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Detroit and Philly are still on my list of major league cities to see a game in. Actually shed tears the first time I saw Target Field tour online. Still haven't been there. Life has left me as a far away fan. Seen them once at the Met. Seen them in Anaheim. Been to KC a few times. Need a special trip with my dad to Target to take it all in one of these days.

To be fair the only reason that Odor was in that inning for that long is because the ump is terrible and La Stella being a pest as always
