Doomtints Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Deja vu of the previous manager not knowing when to pull a pitcher who is obviously struggling.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 If Garver catches that foul tip on a 3-2 pitch to Harper, we aren't in this situation...
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Wow. Rosario didn't get it into the infield soon enough there. Awful game from Eddie tonight. This team looks pretty terrible tonight. Really ugly stuff.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Yikes that's what great about baseball there's another one tomorrow
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Nothing like a single that scores 3 runs. Must have been Byron Buxton on 1st base.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Bases clearing single?Rosario helped. He should have chalanted it. Instead, he non-.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 It's not meaningless. It's just not very significant. If 10 TB in one game isn’t very significant...how many more would it take?
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Bases clearing single? Yep. Clean single to left, Rosario fielded it and just...held the ball. He just never threw it in. Harper noticed and just kept running. It's pretty much exactly what Rosario does to opposing players all the time, yet he let Harper do it to him. Think the guy needs a day off tomorrow, he's a train wreck tonight.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 This is three bad games in a row now. Completely unacceptable.
Doomtints Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 The Wikipedia page has already been updated with Polanco's meaningless achievement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_players_to_hit_for_the_cycle Doesn't the HOF have a plaque listing the players who have hit for the cycle? Dude is in the HOF now.

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 9 walks, 6 of which by my count scored, vs 1.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Can't believe I'm still here. Neshek!(the one that got away)
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 If 10 TB in one game isn’t very significant...how many more would it take?Enough to highly correlate with a win for your team.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Is there a source other than mlb.com that prople prefer to check the status of a game in progress? For some reason, when I’m on gameday, some stupid walmart ad pops up. Frequent problem on that site. Highly annoying.

I use CBS game tracker....alas, they've got a twitter feed that scrolls on the side that features reporters who cover each team. Including Mike Bernardino, who left the Pioneer Press 8 months ago to cover sports in Indiana. So tonight's Twins/Phillies game tracker feed is full of insightful tweets about Notre Dame women's basketball.

The ESPN site lets you watch the box score without being forced into that annoying gameday interface.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Enough to highly correlate with a win for your team. So, then maybe 15-20 TB in one game would be significant?
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 If 10 TB in one game isn’t very significant...how many more would it take?I think the point is that one of each HR,3B,2B,1B isn't really any more significant than say, 2 HR and a 2B, both are 10 bases. One is just more quirky than the other so we take note of it.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Sorry i missed out on most of the game... And to add to the tragedy of tonight, i asked for chicken fingers and got chicken wings.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 0 for 2 on Odorizzi starts. Well, now we get to see if Pineda can pitch more than 4 innings, since he lost his shadow.
