drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 So is Jake Odorizzi apparently. Between Gibby, Odorizzi, and Perez the Twins might need to start thinking about either using Mejia in the rotation or go back to the drawing board and sweetening up a deal for Keuchel. Keuchel was pretty notorious for his short starts the past year or so.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Did Rocco make an offensive substitution at catcher? Cause if he did, I love that!
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Did Rocco make an offensive substitution at catcher? Cause if he did, I love that! He did. Philly came in with a lefty to start the inning, so Rocco sent Garver into the game.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Is this a 3-run Twins v. Phillies game, or is Dick moderating Talking Volumes with famous author Justin Morneau, in studio discuss his debut novel: "Baseball Memoirs"? Yes
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Tells me Astudillo is catching tomorrow.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Not a perfect throw by Cave, but boy was that nice.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Rosario looked incredibly uncomfortable that entire at bat.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Rosie needs a better plan at the plate. Or maybe a plan in general.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 The cycle is an interesting quirky thing, but even though it's comparable in rarity to a no-hitter it's nowhere near as significant. Pitching a no-hitter strongly correlates with a win for your team but the cycle doesn't.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Good for Polanco. Despite the first inning this has been an entertaining game.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 He did. Philly came in with a lefty to start the inning, so Rocco sent Garver into the game.Attention to detail and the small things are what have impressed me about Rocco so far.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Gonzalez sure leaves a lot to be desired.
wabene Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 That was a checked swing bad call there
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Terrible call by the ump there on Marwin. He barely flinched.

wabene Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Mejia will be around for awhile, talented lefty! Up next the old sidewinder!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Half time of the operetta i be pitting for.Ain't that the pits.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 The Wikipedia page has already been updated with Polanco's meaningless achievement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_players_to_hit_for_the_cycle
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 8 walks issued by the Twins tonight? Wow. Lots of mistakes by this team tonight. These ain't the Royals. And here comes Harper. Might take the drama out of the last 2 frames if he connects here.
Doomtints Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Why was Cron removed from 1B for a pitcher, shifting Gonzalez over, only to have Gonzalez have a catching error?
