Perez got it down. Fielded by the 2B I believe. Lead runner out at 2nd but they threw the ball too low for the double play. Scoots by Hoskins and Perez runs to 2nd.

sac bunt to the third baseman isn’t a sac is it? That’s just trying to bunt for a hit and almost getting doubled up....

Not sure if sarcastic or not but a sac bunt is defined by the batters act of deliberately bunting the ball, before there is to outs to advance a runner that is on base.

 

I don't think it matters what side of the infield it goes to.

Castro and his "framing skills" didn't come in too handy on that borderline pitch just now. Could have been strike 3, instead the guy walks.

Perez on the season has now thrown 154 pitches in 6.1 innings. He's going to have to do something different going forward because averaging over 24 pitches an inning just won't work as a starter.

So is Jake Odorizzi apparently. Between Gibby, Odorizzi, and Perez the Twins might need to start thinking about either using Mejia in the rotation or go back to the drawing board and sweetening up a deal for Keuchel.
