Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Describe pleasePerez got it down. Fielded by the 2B I believe. Lead runner out at 2nd but they threw the ball too low for the double play. Scoots by Hoskins and Perez runs to 2nd.

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Not exactly how you draw that sac bunt up... sac bunt to the third baseman isn’t a sac is it? That’s just trying to bunt for a hit and almost getting doubled up....
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 sac bunt to the third baseman isn’t a sac is it? That’s just trying to bunt for a hit and almost getting doubled up....Not sure if sarcastic or not but a sac bunt is defined by the batters act of deliberately bunting the ball, before there is to outs to advance a runner that is on base. I don't think it matters what side of the infield it goes to.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Perez walks a guy on 4 pitches and falls behind 2-0 on the next guy. C'mon dude, get it together and get the final out of the inning here.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Castro and his "framing skills" didn't come in too handy on that borderline pitch just now. Could have been strike 3, instead the guy walks.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Perez should have been pulled a batter ago. He needs to go now.

drock2190 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Martin Perez doing an early season impression of Lance Lynn.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Perez on the season has now thrown 154 pitches in 6.1 innings. He's going to have to do something different going forward because averaging over 24 pitches an inning just won't work as a starter.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Martin Perez doing an early season impression of Lance Lynn. So is Jake Odorizzi apparently. Between Gibby, Odorizzi, and Perez the Twins might need to start thinking about either using Mejia in the rotation or go back to the drawing board and sweetening up a deal for Keuchel.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Is this a 3-run Twins v. Phillies game, or is Dick moderating Talking Volumes with famous author Justin Morneau, in studio discuss his debut novel: "Baseball Memoirs"? I dunno, maybe I'm just ticked off still about Perez. Sorry Justin.
