spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 This weekend's baseball games came as a surprise? I actually don't want ANYthing done on TF's playing surface, except major league baseball. I guess maybe a mid-winter hockey game isn't the end of the world. And yes...I'm not terribly surprised the Twins are a WC team this year. I think any baseball is OK, especially the finals of the state high school tournament. I guess other stuff helps pay the bills but I cringe thinking about despoiling a beautiful ballpark. Blake, Riverbrian and USAFChief 3

I hate the effect of the concerts and now the football games have on the field. Makes the outfield look patchy. Now get off my lawn. Blake, Hosken Bombo Disco, h2oface and 4 others 7

I also have Cleveland but they were a mere 7 to 1. USAFChief and Riverbrian 2

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I wanted to place a bet on the Twins winning the WC game, but I hate losing money, so I went to a psychic. jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I'm a little concerned about Duffy's stuff. It doesn't look as sharp as early in the season, like he's got a tired arm. He's still getting some guys out, but his command and movement are not as good as earlier. glunn 1

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Why is Hildenberger warming upI guess because we have a 3 run lead? I woulda given him the day off after yesterday, but that never seems to phase Molly. Hosken Bombo Disco and notoriousgod71 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I would have thought one or two days rest before Tuesday was ideal, but all of their good relievers appear to be pitching tonight and they are going with three days rest, I guess glunn 1

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Not in my humble opinion. Actually not humble, but I am usually able to restrain myself. Except when what should be McCoys is written McCoy's.Yes, the improper use of the apostrophe also leaves me in an unrestrained rage. I mean, who doesn't? Don't even get me started on the semicolon. glunn 1

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 I like how Dick had to explain why they needed ten pitchers to match up with the Yankees. Why? I would rather have Erv pitching to anyone than any one of our relievers. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Probably. Should be interesting to see who pitches Saturday. With Slegers and Colon rounding out the season they will all likely pitch every game.
