Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 First off...watch the Little Falls bashing. I live in the pit OTA St. Cloud and work in beautiful LF. Guess which I prefer? Second - Does anyone else think it will be awkward when Hughes sprints into the dugout between pitches to touch JO's hat? Bashing? I typed that with love in my heart. It felt like indigestion... but i'm sure it was love in my heart. Oldgoat_MN 1
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Colorado is an interesting team. Three of their five starters are rookies still below the prospect threshold for career innings and the two veterans (Anderson and Chatwood) are struggling big time. Not the greatest recipe for success but they sure can hit. David HK and Riverbrian 2

If it is a shaggy-dog story, stands to reason there would be a shaggy-dog involved... I think Scooby would count, being Shaggy's dog. Despite that, yeah. It was worth reading. I suppose i aught to go to the effort to scroll back and dole out a well deserved like. ashbury and Riverbrian 2
Teflon Verified Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Which Rockies hitters would you take over their Twins equivalent? Mark Reynolds over Joe Mauer? Nolan Arenado over Miguel Sano? Trevor Story over Jorge Polanco? Charlie Blackmon over Byron Buxton?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 do the twins have a magic number yet?Yes. Riverbrian, snepp, Jerr and 1 other 4

Jerr Verified Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 I've been looking forward to this series, as I can watch the games (even though I have to listen to the Rockies broadcasters). However, my wife's from Denver and is a huge Rockies fan, so I'll have to keep quiet if the Twins are winning. No you don't, be LOUD and PROUD!!!!!! But, I don't have to live with her sooooo maybe do that..... Mike Sixel, Riverbrian and Don Walcott 3
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 How's the weather looking tonight?Muggy, heavy air, Sun is out North of Target Field , storms a brewing for tonight.I say they get this game in!!!! Riverbrian 1
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Lineup thoughts: 1.) Good to see Mauer sitting against a lefty. I look forward to having his bat off the bench. 2.) Escobar batting 5 makes me giggle. I guess it works but man, whose utility infielder DHs and hits 5th? 3.) The good news stops there. Castro shouldn't be starting against lefties. Gimenez ain't great but play the platoon Molly. Oldgoat_MN, bighat and David HK 3

"Wind's in the East, mist comin' in. Like something is brewing, about to begin. Don't rightly know what lies in store, But i've a feeling what's to happen all happened before" (Now i gotta google it to see how good my memory is... and of course kudos to those what get it without resortin' to the interwebs. maybe your memory is as bad as mine?) spinowner 1

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Wednesday not looking good. What'ya think, double header on Thursday or shoehorn in a makeup game on a Twins/Rockies off-day down the line sometime? Oh, and if a double header on Thursday, who's the callup for 26th man? Our guy Buddy B. called up for the umpteenth time this year?I'd say a doubleheader Thursday is more likely. They usually give the visitor the option. The Rockies head to Cincinnatti this weekend and that's only a 2 hour flight or so. My guess is that they would rather not come back because they likely would be flying long distances in a handful of days if they looked for a day off. nater79a 1

David HK Verified Member Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Have you noticed that if the game is close in late innings, Roy talks less? Kinda like Hawk if the other team does something good?

I don't know what everybody thinks of the Joe M Conversation... I understand that it is random and weird but I will stand here and tell you this in all sincerity. It makes me laugh. Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 I remember Little Falls beating Robbinsdale to win the 2A high school basketball championship in the 70's behind Frankie Wachlarowicz who went on to be a standout Minnesota collegiate player at St. John's. One of the games Litte Falls won in the tourney that year was over a Hibbing team with a fella named McHale.Joel? Like before he did The Soup? Riverbrian 1

He is the best defensive 3B the game has ever produced and he can hit a little to. He is worth the price of admission. Must See TV Don Walcott 1

He regularly makes plays that just make me laugh out loud. I've never seen anyone better. Riverbrian 1
