Silly question, but with Vargas in as a DH/1B, and knowing that Grossman isn't playing any outfield, how does it make sense to keep Grossman?  Not saying Grossman is bad, just saying, why keep both on the roster?  I don't know that anyone would trade for him, but he seems like a man without a home on this roster.

Agreed.  Vargas is what a DH looks like.  Grossman is what a backup / PH / 4th outfielder at best looks like.  I think he'd be a nice trade option for an NL ballclub that needs depth in June/July.  Right now I'm guessing the Twins are hoping they can get a nibble and steal a minor league arm in the deal.

For those like me who are trying to make sense of this, righties have a .833 OPS against Cotton this year while lefties have a .698.

Good find. I was going to decry SSS, but this holds true through last year as well.

2015 in AAA was the opposite

Way to go Gibby, a 9.00 ERA for the day so far is right on par!

If you keep up the consistency like Molitor says Berrios can't, your spot is guaranteed!

I'm disappointed FSN North doesn't really broadcast many midweek day games anymore. Streaming the game in the background at my desk was a pretty great way to get through a slow day.

Care to elaborate for the people in Minnesota that unbelievably can't actually watch or listen to the game?

On the radio here, but he seems to have lost 2 fly balls and ran into the wall, popping the door open. He is still in the game.

I think Gibson's at the end of his leash. Mejia would be better at this point...

That's not fair. You can't blame a guy for losing consecutive at-bats to the immortals of baseball like Stephen Vogt, Chad Pinder, and Jaff Decker.

Gibson, Hughes, and our mystery 5th starter are all reasons why I am not ecstatic about our 14-11 start...

Don't get me wrong, I love competitive baseball for our squad and am pleased, but that's 3 big holes in my opinion.
