Ozzie Time!

I was joking when I suggested this last month, I'm not joking anymore!  This team has no juice at all.  Molitor's low key, funeral director approach may have worked on a young, transitioning roster if he'd had a track record of managerial success.  But he don't.  We need to get someone in here who will get these guys playing with passion and fire.  Make the game into a first trip to Vegas, instead of a weekly Bunion scraping at the Podiatrist.  I'd dump the whole staff, as well.  It probably means the rest of 2016 will be a dumpster fire, but even that is preferable to the smoldering landfill that it is now.

Ozzie was such a desirable commodity that he's now managing in Venezuela.  And he hasn’t managed since the Marlins fired him in October 2012 after one season.

By "turn it around" I mean be able to by some miracle get the Twins to 70 wins.

 

GM, Asst GM, etc all need to go no matter what happens the rest of the season (baring the greatest turnaround in the history of sports.

I am totally on board with this.  I actually kind of like Ozzie.

 

But, then again, I am totally on board with anyone except:  "The Twins announced Ron Gardenhire will be the interim manager for the rest of the season."

 

Why Molly is still in that dugout is beyond me.

Ozzie would at least give people a reason to watch.  There literally is no point in watching this team right now if the weather is nice outside/other things to do.

It starts with the front office. An overhaul there. The manager can also go and maybe the hitting coach. You trea

d carefully on promoting a future in-organization manager right away, unless you are willing to commit to THEIR way of thinking. But if there is a general manager change, you need to make that first so THEY CAN HIRE who they wish to work with.

 

Add hands-on-president and give him a say in the organization. Have a solid general manager. Two major position changes.

 

Or sell the team (which may take too long).

This organization needs to put development of its young prospects as its highest priority. For the rest of this season we need a manager who can do that. I think make Mientkiewicz interim manager and tell him to pretend his players are all AA players. (Unfortunately, that shouldn't be hard to do.)

As for Lovullo, you won't get him during the season. I think Demi Lovato would be great, though.

That Demi Lovati throw-in was priceless. If the Twins ever get any October baseball, she could sing Frozen during the 7th inning stretch.
