Game Thread, Twins @ Blue Jays, 8/5 @ 6:07pm CT

[Platoon]

And then Fryer and Robinson strand Escobar at 2nd with strikeouts.

Why am I not surprised? Couldn't they have someone better at one of those spots in the lineup?

Couldn't we have pinch........ Aww what the hell, just forget it!

[USAFChief]

Is he really the best Teflon Terry could find?

He wanted another year of control, I'm told.

:/

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

When we traded for Jepsen... I didn't hear the Troggs playing in the background.

He makes my heart sing

[Rosterman]

Well, May wasn't put back into the rotation because...he couldn't pitch more than 2 innings. Was that what I read somewhere?

[Winston Smith]

He wanted another year of control, I'm told.

:/

It would be nice if he had some control.

The trade deadline acquisition to make "everything... Groovy".

[twinsnorth49]

Bottom 3rd coming up...........night all.

[Platoon]

Dick said we have used 6 pitchers in this game. May must have pitched while I was in the bathroom?

winnah, unfortunately

[SwainZag]

Eski, Hunter and Zuki to hit..?

[Riverbrian]

Bautista has to be a little nerve wracking to pitch to with Encarnacion behind him in the #4 spot.

Edwin would be like that Semenko guy for the Oilers.

[twinsnorth49]

That's usually how long he's in the game.

It was a long time ago, and utterly forgetable, but I think Duffey counts too.

[big dog]

I hope LaTroy closes as well tonight as he did for us back in the day.

[Riverbrian]

The graphic says that Hawkins has a save against every MLB team but the Twins.

It took Kyle Lohse a couple of tries... I'm feeling a vibe here.

Eski, Hunter and Zuki to hit..?

There BETTER be some pinch hitters

[formerly33]

So I ran into this picture on the internet just now, and I was reminded of you here on Twins Daily and thought that Brian and Bark might get a kick out of this ... that is, if either one of them sees it. I mean, something's been done to the eyes, and something must be done to change this game. The Olsen Twins are gone, but if there's any power in the eyes .... We need to rally now ... whatever it takes .....

[ashbury]

Bruce Jenner

Who? Google turns up nothing.

Oh! You must mean Caitlin.

[twinsnorth49]

Hmmmm......

[SwainZag]

OK Nunez gets first crack....

[twinsnorth49]

Robinson........................WTF?!!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Robinson's pinch hitting here?

[TheLeviathan]

Sure could use Arcia right now

[Platoon]

Here come day bunt

[spinowner]

Just tuned in (a little late to the party). Watching Hawkins... I remember going to spring training in 1994 and seeing two young pitchers throwing on adjacent mounds-- Hawkins and Guardado. And they're both in the stadium tonight.

[ShouldaCouldaWoulda]

man, it would suck to have Arcia to hit in this situation.

[Brock Beauchamp]

I'm really glad the Twins don't have Arcia on the bench in this situation.

[twinsnorth49]

I give up, apparently Mollie has so why shouldn't I?

[big dog]

Robinson?  Bunting?
