I believe Gardy will be back, unless 1 of 2 unexpected things happen.

1. Pohlad tells Ryan to fire Gardy and Ryan resigns then Gardy is fired

2. Ryan tells Gardy Andy is gone and Gardy resigns.

Otherwise Gardy will be back.

I think he'll be back, though I don't want him to be. I do think that he's going to not have some of his coaches... that might cause him to retire, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sadly he will be back, unless Pohlad fires him. Ryan will not. And if he comes back, we will never know how good the upcoming bunch of players could have been. When you try and make all your players play the same way, regardless of individual talents, you stifle their athletic ability. They will win, sooner than later, but it won't be because of Gardy.

Gardy = In

Anderson = Out

Gardy = Makes a stink trying to save Anderson

Ryan = We don't want you that bad Gardy

Gardy = (sullenly walks away without a word)

Twinsville = Palpable tension among the front office and field staff, drama forthcoming.

As long as Terry is the GM, Gardy is the manager.

Molitor is gone to "spend more time with his family".

Steiny gets the D-Back job.

Ullger or Vavra may get the gate but not Andy, imo.

They'll fail to bring in a Latin Am coach. When asked, "the right guy wasn't out there".

Great post.  I see you formatted it to be able to put a check mark on each as they start happening, as early as today.  :whacky028:

All the coaches will be brought back on another 1-year deal.  Gardenhire will be signed to another 2-year deal to prevent the lame duck scenario.

TR will say "I didn't give them enough players", which will beg the question, why TR will keep his job (and he will).

Gardy will be gone.  Terry won't like it, but this will show him "making the tough decisions and not being satisfied with losing".

I don't see how he can possibly be gone...  Jim Pohlad hasn't even given his annual, "It's embarrassing" speech, yet.

I think he deserves one more year, the Twins young hitters really took some steps forward this year. I think you bring him back and let Andy go.

When you see the excitement what Zimmer brought to the Vikings, you have to wonder how much longer the Twins stay relevant.  Frazier was a nice guy, considered a player's coach, yet, he wasn't able to consistently produce.  I see the same happening with Gardy and the Twins.  If the Twins are to turn the corner and start building a winning atmosphere, they really have no choice but to let Gardy go.  For me, it's time for a change.  I've been holding off for a while, thinking Gardy can right the ship and start winning.  But not now.  Going forward with the new, young talent, they need a Manager to instill a winning culture.   No more of this "we battled our tails off" or as Plouffe said a week or so back, when they lost, something to the effect that this game was a moral victory.   These type of clichés don't win Championships.  We need a new direction and a NEW Manager.

Oh, I thought he just moved it up to mid-summer?

The Twins are already the only franchise in MLB history to bring back a manager after four 90-loss seasons.  They're still owned by the same family who brought back Kelly and still run by the same president who hired Gardenhire..  It's very difficult to imagine them not repeating the same mistake twice.

Not the end of the world, but another symptom of a larger issue.  If there's any franchise more in love with its own obsolete narrative of how it has achieved past success, I can't imagine who it would be.
