It sucks that injuries are going to derail what was once a potential HOF career… Deep down we all knew his ankle and plantar fasciitis problems were a ticking time bomb. Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Feel bad for Correa. For an ankle to give out like that during simple batting practice - oofda. And it wasn't even the ankle that scared off the Giants and Mets in 2023. Hoping for a full recovery but between the injury and his age, he faces a really uphill climb. IIRC Paddack when went out of his way claiming the facilities, coaching staff, and food with the Tigers was better than the Twins when we traded him there. I think that ship has sailed. I believe the Marlins are on the hook for most of his salary and the Reds will only have to pay a prorated league minimum salary. FWIW- The Reds rotation is banged up. Greene and Williamson are on the 60 day-IL. Lowder is on the 15-day IL. Singer will probably need an IL stint. Their in-house options (Petty, Franco, and Aguiar) are all getting beat up at AAA. ashbury, Richie the Rally Goat, big dog and 1 other 4
