There has never in the history of major league baseball been a time when the visiting team could take the lead in the top half of an inning and the home team not get a chance to complete the bottom half of that inning.

Had a guy that ran our church league team when we would come in to bat and needed runs, he would always holler “in the big inning.”. He would also say we’ve got the meat of the order up this inning, and I’m not talking about the fatty portion. 🤣
