I grew up mostly on the radio with Herb and John. Memories of west coast games and static still fill my head to this day. I enjoyed a few games here on there before the internet during visits to my grandma's house on TV. I became a fan of Bremmer, and I never hated Burt, even if he got a little "get off my lawn" later in his career.

I think Cory Provos has been outstanding as the "new voice" on the radio, and now as the play by play voice for TV. And I think we're lucky to have him. But even when Bert was still the color man, I really enjoyed the 3 man booth when someone like Kaat joined in.

I missed the "experimental" game on Tuesday without Cory, on vacation, and Pablo making it a 4 man color team. But I got to watch the game tonight, Wednesday, and really loved listening to Perk, Plouffe and Justin comment and banter. They provided just enough play by play...on TV it's not that hard to follow the game...but provided humor and context that really resonated with me.

I'd really like to see more 3 and 4 man booths going forward. The Twins have a deep and eclectic group of former players to contribute. There's enough space in between plays on TV to allow breathing room for stories and reflection and opinion to add to the broadcast.

What are your thoughts about this 3 color man experiment?

Atlanta has periodically used a booth of Glavine, Chipper, Francoeur and Smoltz / McCann. An exceptionally fun and entertaining night of baseball. Took it to another level when they linked in Maddux. Bringing the locker room to the booth, nothing better.

I applaud the effort. It's a first step experiment toward where baseball broadcasts need to be in order to grow. Please continue and work toward making it better.

Traditionalists probably didn't like it but the traditionalist will age out the sport if you let them.

If you want to hold your audience for 9 innings tomorrow. Figure out how to entertain for 9 innings or you have no chance. Not jut entertainment on the field but entertainment in the booth. Entertainment in whatever nook and cranny you can place it.

Nice for a change. I always prefer more than one commentator as I like the back and forth. Provis is good at entering the back and forth. But there was a big disconnect from the game with little actual play by play. The focus was on them and their stories, not on the game.

I like all three commentators. As long as they don't talk over each other they can have as many people in the booth as they want. For most games going forward I'd like more focus on the game.

The tours inside were great.

I went through the 60s listening to the radio, Herb Carneal, Ray Scott, and Halsey Hall.

I really enjoyed it. Even when the Cubbys crushed the Twinkies yesterday. I found myself smiling and laughing all throughout the game where normally I would be crying and cursing. I missed Tuesday. I might go back and watch the recording if I can find it.

I always enjoy 3 in the booth better than 2. I think Provus announcing with 2 analysts is perfect. With 2 analysts Provus can tone down the home enthusiasm and just call the game. A former pitcher and former hitter is the sweet spot for me.

Audra is fine but I miss Marney.

Make baseball fun!!!!  This sport works so freaking hard to feel like the turtleneck sweater of sports.

Instead we got three days of awesome vibes.  Just dudes having fun, cracking jokes, and Audra egging them on perfectly.  Provus is talented and funny himself, he absolutely could ringmaster this kind of vibe on a nightly basis.  We don't need all of this stuff every night, but the vibe could be there each and every day.

This is how baseball reaches kids and casuals.  This is how it trends on social media.  It's literally what has made the Savannah Bananas into the money making juggernaut it is today.  Embrace the success of this Twins!

Morneau is a knobhead. I love how he scrunches down his eyebrows because he thinks that makes him look smart. He learned that one from a-rod.

It was best for the game they lost, but after the first two, it got to be old hat, although it was entertaining.

3 in a booth are fine if they are in synch or orchestrated. I can't deal with talk-overs. However, it is moot for me; strictly a radio boy and get 3 only when a guest is in the booth and then we often lose the ballgame as it isn't done well.

Glad to hear they have found work for Plouffie besides his podcast work.
