  1. Ownership is doing a lot of positive things, and pushing things in the right direction, which I appreciate. I also don’t trust them. It’s like when my kids clean their room without me asking. It always feels a little suspicious.
  2. Sounds like it’s more of a health and not playing 9 innings thing (coming back from injury) over a matchup thing. I'd want him facing as many lefties as possible as well.
  3. I could see Altavilla in the Twins pen by the end of April. Seems like he has the stuff. I was surprised he didn’t make it right away. St. Paul will be a fun team to keep an eye on with all the prospects on the doorstep.
  4. Bats are doing ok today
  5. If Martin keeps up the OBP, he wouldn’t be a bad option. If not, you can put him at 8 or 9 so when he does get on base, his speed is a threat for Keaschall or Buxton at the top of the order. Maybe gets them better pitches to hit.
  6. I would assume if Caratini does anything other than catch, he’s at 1B over DH. That way if something happens to Jeffers, he’s able to slide into catch without losing the DH spot. Maybe that’s wishful thinking because I don’t want him to DH, too.
  7. Lee with a bunt single (beat it out by a lot), then Arcia with the bomb. Glad Lee showed a little speed there, maybe the offseason training is paying off.
  8. I’m not trying to say don’t have him improve (maybe I’m not writing it well), but let him stay in his lane with what he’s best at as well. Tweaks to hit more line drives are always good. Tweaks to make someone pull the ball more or hit more home runs can be iffy.
  9. I think the problem teams run into with prospects is “he’s really good at this thing, but let’s tweak it a little bit”. The guy is good at getting on base with his current swing. Maybe he can just be a guy that hits 15 homers and gets on base a lot. Let the players be what they are and excel at.
  10. If he’s great at fielding, I would definitely take “fine” at the plate. Not for every position, but at SS.
  11. I don’t think it’s the move for 2026, but I do think it’s the move for 2027.
  12. If he can get off to a hot start and get called up, that moves Lee to more of a utility spot, and I think upgrades the overall lineup. Lee seems solid at other spots, but a bit out of place at SS. If he’s there once a week to give Culpepper a day off, and at 2B and 3B the other days, it’ll be good for the Twins.
  13. I definitely prefer the aggressive base running they’re doing now compared to standing around on the base paths and hoping someone hits a homer soon. If I have to watch bad baseball, let’s sprinkle a little excitement in there.
  14. I would be interested in seeing a chart on Sabato’s strikeouts in AAA, and if they are looking or swinging. In the exact same amount or PA’s as he had in AA, he has 5 fewer XBH, 10 fewer BB and 13 more K. Curious if close takes for a walk in AA have become looking K’s in AAA. I don’t think he’s MLB ready, but he has the profile of what the Twins need.
  15. I do agree that the team has some really strong pieces, and maybe are not horribly far off from another good season. But with the first paragraph, I don’t know if new owners will do any better, but I’d just like to be disappointed in new people instead of the same old disappointments. Freshen it up a bit.
  16. It will be good to get some of these guys 2 months of ABs to see if they can produce and stick, or if they just don’t have it. Brooks Lee had a couple really strong plays at short, too. Fired a couple balls across the diamond.
  17. I’m not sure where Wichita is sitting for the playoffs, but I’d like to see quite a few players moved from AA to AAA after the trade deadline. The top 4 or 5 hitters in Wichita’s lineup are doing very well. Peyton Carr’s batting stance is…something.
  18. Jenkins almost had a homer, too. Hit one about as far as possible in that park, just caught by the fence. Lots of fun to watch the Wichita lineup.
  19. I liked it a lot. It’s not something that I’d constantly want to have, but it’s a fun change of pace.
  20. Tough day to pick the pitcher of the day between Raya and Langenberg. Good to see Raya have a strong start.
  21. I’ll take a blister issue over the other options.
