  1. I’m not sure where Wichita is sitting for the playoffs, but I’d like to see quite a few players moved from AA to AAA after the trade deadline. The top 4 or 5 hitters in Wichita’s lineup are doing very well. Peyton Carr’s batting stance is…something.
  2. Jenkins almost had a homer, too. Hit one about as far as possible in that park, just caught by the fence. Lots of fun to watch the Wichita lineup.
  3. I liked it a lot. It’s not something that I’d constantly want to have, but it’s a fun change of pace.
  4. Tough day to pick the pitcher of the day between Raya and Langenberg. Good to see Raya have a strong start.
  5. I’ll take a blister issue over the other options.
  6. I wouldn’t say excitement, but maybe some hope? He has been rough for where he was drafted and why he was drafted, but hopefully he has figured something out and can become a usable player for the Twins. I wouldn’t be mad if they moved him up a level to see if this is real or a mirage.
  7. Looking forward to seeing him play, and if he can keep mashing in the big leagues. Great underdog story.
  8. Lee probably shouldn’t go down when Farmer comes back, but should if Correa comes back soon. Farmer hasn’t played well enough to automatically get a spot back. Downgrading while in a pennant race feels like a bad idea.
  9. Aaron Sabato has had a pretty decent 19 game run in AA this season. I don’t think they need to move him up or anything, but it’s nice to see. Jenkins has to be done with his rehab stint pretty soon, right?
  10. Ken Rosenthal actually just wrote an article about this. It was talking about how pitching quality is so much worse at AAA, so once you get called up, it’s harder than ever. “Through Monday, the average Stuff+ of every pitch in the majors was 100. At Triple A, it was 86, down from 95 last season. Among major-league starting pitchers, that’s roughly the difference between Mitch Keller and Griffin Canning. Only 29 starters out of 142 have thrown 20+ innings with a worse than 86 stuff.” (https://theathletic.com/5481059/2024/05/09/mlb-top-hitting-prospects-majors/?source=user_shared_article if you subscribe to The Athletic)
  11. Is 4 innings and 56 pitches a high for Raya? At some point, they’ve got to let the guy push it a bit. Wish the plan for him was more public, just to know if he’s going to get to 100 pitches in a start sometime before getting called up.
  12. Sorry, earlier in the morning me apparently has bad reading comprehension. There are some great articles, and there are some that might just need more time or finesse (I think that’s where I feel the rushed thing). I do appreciate the site, and the efforts of everyone. Young me would be trying to write articles on here, and I appreciate that. Old me just needs to mess with the curating thing.
  13. I don’t post at all anymore (nobody misses it), but the main thing for me is that the articles aren’t worth dealing with the ads. Reader mode helps, but then you have to switch off that for the comments. I just think the rush for more “content” had diluted the quality of the writing.
  14. She really paints a picture with words. And the whole picture, too. There’s no “I wonder what she meant here”.
  15. When will anyone hold them accountable? (I hate when people ask this so much)
  16. I agree with Ober to the pen instead of trying to push up his innings limit. Let’s see what he throws when he’s only got to do an inning or two. Probably more fastball velocity, and maybe he lasts an entire season.
  17. Lots of guys at Serum’s this afternoon are going to mad about this article.
  18. Yeah, but like, zero throwing errors from the shortstop position.
  19. My wife is giving me $20 to spend on parking at the SCSU women’s hockey game. I’m pretty sure that it’s free. If Carlos accepts, I’m willing to act like the parking really did cost $20, and give him the money. I’ll risk it. I’ve been in trouble before.
  20. Thanks to everyone at Twins Daily for the reports all season. It’s a nice way to be familiar with people when they eventually make it to the Twins. Also, my wife would karate chop me in the larynx if I got milb.tv. Watching more baseball, and with granier picture, probably wouldn’t pass
  21. Absolutely should be up. What do they have to lose?
  22. $20 is just way too much. $10 is pretty much the sweet spot, and that’s after adding the Twins. There’s just nothing on there worth watching besides Twins and Wild games (for me). No point in cancelling cable and getting 10 different streaming services that add up to the same price as cable. I used PS Vue and Sling, but it cost too much for limited content.
  23. People are hustling to call “no dibs” on the minor league report writing the next couple days.
