True, but I also remember Rocco saying a few weeks ago that Wallner will be getting regular AB's against LH pitching and to the best of my memory he has not done that.  That to me is frustrating and makes me wonder how the players are responding to him.

Clemens has been a big surprise and he's criticized for his BA. I was hearing howls when Wallner was rehabbing to bring him up right away. The same for Lewis, but when they struggle, they should have stayed down longer.

I think Rocco Baldelli is lucky he is managing a team in Minnesota. He may well have been fired if managing in rabid cities like Philly, Boston and New York and maybe he should have earlier this year, but he's not the worst manager the Twins ever had (Ray Miller), but the incessant second guessing and meritless criticism for players' struggles is too much. The Pohlads seem totally tone-deaf and pretty unconcerned with a product that is losing interest and attendance, but I don't think the Twins owners are the worst in baseball.

I've been a Twins fan since they moved here and I've seen most everything from world championships to "total system failure" and I like to be entertained by my favorite pro sports team. I also like to compare what's going on with my favorite team versus what other teams do. For example, Gipson-Long has used behind an opener until his last two starts and the Tigers have been really successful. Other managers pull their starters after two times through the lineup. It isn't just Rocco. Every other team has players who make fundamental mistakes, I guarantee it. End of rant.

I have been following this team since the late sixties and under this regime is probably the first time I don't really don't understand what their operating goal is.  The early 80's they gave way to the kids and let them grow together.  Ryan developed players, made some smart signings and trades because he could spot talent even in the lower levels of the minors, in his first stint, the second didn't go as well.

But in this Falvey era, they are constantly bringing in filler type players on one year contracts that don't really move the needle and are not difference makers.  And they are not developing difference makers.  They talk about doing things different, such as the pitching approach in the minors.  And I would give them more rope if they were more successful.  They have basically been a .500 team under Falvey and have made no serious run at a championship.  It's great to win the division but I want to see at least a chance at more.

Contrast that with the Wolves, I have not always agreed with the moves Connelly makes but they have made two serious runs at a championship and are building a team to continue doing that.  Are the Twins anywhere near that level, I don't think so.

See, this is what I DO NOT GET. Coulombe threw SIX pitches.  SIX!  And the 1st hitter next inning is a lefty.  Why in the hell can he not pitch into the next inning?  Do they have to put him in bubble wrap before he gets to 10?!?

And jeepers, Brooks over there- looks like Brooks Robinson on one play, and a Brooks Brothers suit rack on the next. 🙄

I do think it's socil media illness but as long as I can remember there has been 'the monday morning quarterback' situation in sports.

Lot of complaints about them playing boring baseball. Bad defense. Station to station base running. Tonight, Festa  goes into the 6th. Good defense, base stealing, move em over get em in and still. Against a good ball club

I know Wallner got a start vs. a lefty in Houston. I was there.Larnach has gotten more play against lefties. Neither have been pinch hit for much, mostly because they don't have great options. Wallner has been struggling, so I'd say it's defensible.
