3 series wins in a row. Can't say the only team they can beat are the White Sox. Boston and Giants are good teams and Baltimore was supposed to be strong too. Nice win. No one had Keirsey on the bingo card. That's why baseball is so great.

This home plate umpire obviously missed a call on Larnach but he's had a  very good day behind the plate.

THIS is why we need the ABS. The umpires have lowered standards to the point we think that job behind the plate today was just dandy. 

Velocity is up, pitches are nastier - okay, if the job's too hard for humans let the machines handle it. Going ahead with the current umpires is like prohibiting robot welders because the hung-over, Monday morning lemon auto workers were good enough for Henry Ford. 

EDIT: And let me just add, in my opinion certain umps are corrupt rather than (or in addition too) barely competent. ABS makes corruption harder, if not impossible.
