Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 The last two games on the heels of the manager addressing the team on Monday. Hmm...
jaimedude Verified Member Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 You can see the lack of execution before it happens. Twins have 4th highest ERA in bullpen right now. Nothing is going right. I hate this negative situation.

One pitch can be a double play! Not great, but..... Thielbar to wreck the game. Baldelli's Nick Punto. Or is that Farmer. Theilbar to potentially give the loss to Festa. He earned at least the next batter with the game pitched and only 88 pitches. I Miss The Lakes 1

But by all means don't you dare put any of that on the man managing. But I did enjoy the air mail to home when we had zero chance at the runner. exeoud Verified Member Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 The Twins are now an even .500 (61-61) in non-White Sox games. This is a mediocre team that beat up on the worst baseball team in history for 13 games. einkleinerknabe 1

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 The Twins have chosen their position players throughout their system primarily for production from the plate. Only Santana (Buck & C4 are out) is average or above. The problem is that the bats are not scoring and the gloves are giving up runs. This is an organizational philosophy.
cmoss84 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 I like Festa getting a chance to start the inning. Rocco took him out after the walk...good. Bringing in the thielbar? ... ... ...

He hadn't thrown a single pitch in even the 6th inning yet this season. Hadn't thrown more than 82 pitches in a game. Just a curious decision that immediately backfired. Not to excuse Thielbar, but I think you gotta take what you got from Festa and have a reliever start the 7th Patzky 1
