If you had told me back on April 1 that this was our end of August lineup I think I would have assumed that the Twins were about 15 games out of first place.  A lot of big names missing.

I'm not quite certain if I should be depressed or impressed, but somehow they remain in the thick of the race.

I am impressed, but we definitely need Buxton Correa and Lee back on the field ASAP!! . 30 games left and it’s go time.

The Austin Martin experience in center field.

This one is on the front office. Get Lee back up ASAP and put him at SS. You at least have the option of playing Castro in center.

Martin is a good fielder when the ball is in front of him. We've seen some really nice plays this season but he's similar to Margot in that when he has to track the ball to his left or right or break back for it, he has no awareness and struggles to find the ball. Twins likely win last night with Buxton back there.

Royce doesn't have a ton of experience at the MLB level. He needs to make counter adjustments because opposing pitchers have a book on him now. It isn't easy to make those adjustments when your team is flailing and you're overcompensating for not having Correa and Buxton. Royce needs a breather and he needs to calm down at the plate. You can't hit a grand slam on every pitch.

Silver lining -- Sale's ERA vs Twins in his career is 3.81, 6th-worst of opponents he's faced but he is 11-6 against them.  As a franchise, Twins are in the middle of pack in BA & OPS all-time vs Sale.
