Festa-Vus...for the rest of us! Any news on Royce yet? I don't wanna be a downer, but I'm kind of expecting the worst.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is my motto every baseball season!

Go Twins!

wish this game had an earlier start time …

This is a game where I appreciate the Twins new-found depth of starting pitching, at least compared to the Tigers.

Based on the stats, Montero looks like he really got rushed through the upper minors, likely because the Tigers have no better options.  Maybe he has great stuff, but his stats (ERA, SO/W), at AA and AAA were nothing special at all.

In two starts this year vs Pit and Philly Montero got lit up pretty good.  I would hope the Twins can continue that trend.

Sometimes guys like him confound Twins hitters. I hope Festa does the same to the Tigers.

Lewis to the IL

I don’t care how well he hits, the Twins cannot give him an extension or talk about an extension in any way. At least when Buxton would get injured it would be on plays that cause injuries. Royce can’t stay healthy doing the bare minimum

Play great for 3 weeks then a leg injury and out 4 weeks is not sustainable.

Lee is at 3rd tonight and batting in the 8 spot. Best of luck to him in his debut, but I sure hope Royce heals fast.

I feel guilty cheering for Lee. But it's an exciting time, and to be able to have such a contingency plan is something a lot of teams dream about.

If he's another Gomber (COL) that'd be alright.

In honor of the hot dog eating competition tomorrow… What’s the food that you think you’d do well eating in a competition?

Grapes.  They might be the easiest non-filling item.

But for the record, I find eating contests pretty gross and will immediately change the channel if I see video of any pop up on the screen.
