RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Is it me, or do the umps look bored already, this early in the season?

This Dodgers team is gross. I don't like teams that try to purchase championships. They represent the biggest problem with the game today. It's gross watching teams with a clear advantage and their fans celebrate like it's actually a fair fight. They're the Yankees of the west. They should have to differ runs that Ohtani scores to a later season. Parfigliano, MMMordabito, IndyTwinsFan and 1 other 4

I would have left Ober in, but you're not going to put Jax in against Freeman and Ohtani when you have two left handers in the pen ready to go. That's pretty much the only reason they're on the team. wsnydes, jkcarew, Riverbrian and 1 other 4

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Kirilloff went to RF which shifted Margot to LF. This means that Wallner will pinch hit for Margot this inning. Mike Sixel, ashbury, wsnydes and 1 other 1 3

OvertheHill Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I’m probably in the group of people with selective memory and assumed Santana was going to help. Then when I saw him pop up that 3-1 hittable pitch I realized why he was signed (relatively) cheaply. My hope is that he doesn’t suck up too many AB’s ala Joey Gallo before we’re playing AK full time at 1st. Mike Sixel and mrtwinsfan 2

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Cory and Justin were dead silent for what seemed like a good 15 seconds. They’ve run out of things to say in game 8 lol

Danchat Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Wallner gets struck out thanks to two strikes called down and in, according to Gameday they are out of the strike zone. I guess that is the new meta to pitching against Wallner... throw balls that will be called strikes for whatever reason. Schmoeman5 1

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 On the verge of going quietly into the night, again. Apart from the 2-run homer from Margot, I believe we have the awesome total of no runs on one hit, with one walk. Just awesome, NOT. And no, the well hit balls that turned into outs were just that, more outs. That's just desperately trying to find something/anything positive to say. Disgusting! knothole61 1
