Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 The Pohlads seem to be gradually turning into A's ownership (my favorite "the A's are cheap story"--when Miguel Cabrera's retirement tour went to Oakland, the A's gave him an $80 bottle of wine. Cringe given that it was only $80, but more so because Cabrera is a recovering alcoholic). Anyways, is it possible the non-Twins portion of the Pohlad's portfolio is bleeding money, forcing the Pohlads to tighten their belts? As I understand it, their businesses are private, so bad results there would be easy to hide.

At least our owner didn’t announce today that he’s so excited to see other teams hit home runs at their new minor league stadium home .

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Always nice to face Ramírez with two outs and none on. nicksaviking, chpettit19 and Jocko87 3
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Nice. Now some 1st inning runs, ifyouplease.

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Also, there are as many hitters under a .400 OPS as there are over an .800 OPS. Not ideal.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Way too passive with 2 strikes. Can't let borderline pitches go with 2 strikes.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Who had AK leading the league in triples?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I absolutely would have bet on AK being the first Twins player this year with multiple triples. Free money.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Really poor at bat from byron. Got 4 pitches in the zone and no fair contact USAFChief 1

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Broadcast shows Kepler has 22 homeruns against Cleveland. What they didn't mention is that 23 of those were in one game against Trevor Bauer. USAFChief, chpettit19, Cory Engelhardt and 1 other 3 1
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Do they have a religious objection to making contact with a guy on 3rd and less then two outs
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Kepler nearing .050. Forget the interstate, he’s on the state route bighat 1

Azviking101 Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Is there anyone with worse collective stats with runners in scoring position than Byron? Struck out in the exact same situation yesterday .141 average last year .145 the year before. TouchEmAllGuy 1

bighat Verified Member Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Guy on 3rd, 1 out, Buxton K's and Kepler hits a weak grounder. Same old Twins. They need Royce Lewis in that lineup. Without him, this is a .500 team. Aggies7 1
