Booing sometimes makes me feel better, but I have doubts it makes baseball players play better. Sure, maybe CC doesn't care about boos. He's been dealing with them since the cheating scandal. Right now, I personally feel like he is just too comfortable making his $33MM a year and playing the way he does. If nothing changes, neither will he. Maybe if our fans put more pressure on him to perform, he would perform. Maybe if the Twins community overall perspective of Correa was negative, our GM/Coach would put more pressure on him to succeed given he is a main driver in ticket sales. My overall 10,000 foot view is that CC isn't accountable in anyway, shape, or form, for vastly underperforming given his contract, and that bothers me.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Good hitting by Gurriel. Issuing a walk to a 90% base stealer was the no-no. Obviously, I'd still rather see a better pitcher than Pagán in the seventh. glunn 1

stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 It would be nice to have a stolen base threat to run for Solano. Castro and Taylor are both in the game.

RpR Verified Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Wallner must have taking running lessons from Jeffers.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 For a big man, Wallner can motor. That reminds me of Rochester native Michael Restovich. Wallner looks like he might be a better hitter (I hope). glunn and wabene 2

Fair enough. But I don't have stats for a "everyone" designation. I think it's apparent in the baseball industry that the markets I mentioned don't put up with BS, and the Twins market rolls over and just complains, no matter what happens. My point is if the fanbase held ownership more accountable, maybe things could be different. The fans are a primary source of revenue, and with that comes influence, but it doesn't seem like the Twins community wants to pull that lever.

My main point is these fan bases hold their management accountable.
