Jax pitched yesterday. Besides Jorge López and Duran, he’s next on the pecking order.

Don’t forget the guy with the 0.69 ERA over 13 innings, with 13 strikeouts, 8 hits and 3 walks for a 0.85 WHIP. That includes six straight scoreless outings, with five baserunners in 6.2 innings.

That’s Pagan, if you take out the debacle in Boston where he was an early-game injury fill-in for Maeda and then was left out to dry in an attempt to eat innings.

I know, you can’t randomly drop an outing, but while many of us aren’t ready to admit it, he’s pitched pretty well.

Lopez (Pablo) deserved a better outcome.

Yes, but he did give up one of the 2 runs with a 2 run lead in the 7th. Lopez and Lopez and we have a tie game. A 2-fer for 2 tying runs.

Game threads are notoriously “negative,” doesn’t matter what team or game is involved.   Fans love them a scapegoat & they’ll tear into anyone whose performance disappoints them.

if the team loses, the coach / manager & players stink.  If the team barely wins, the coach / manager & players drink.   The people who are down on the team revel in those results b/c they think it proves how much smarter, more knowledge they are than fans who think more of the team etc than they do.

The solution to all of this would have been for the Twins to score more than 2 runs off a very hittable pitcher earlier in the game when they had the chance.

Yes Sir,  Bullpens are gonna be up and down all year,    Hit the Friggin Ball

Bullpen fails yet again.  Imagine that.

Not surprisingly.    Kinda of knew it would happen.

He's been quite good but no way in hell am I putting him back into leverage spots right now.

He threw a bunch of pitches last night, so it’s probably a moot point for tonight, but I have liked the way Rocco has used him. It’s seemed to be in games when they are behind but still in range. Last night was a good example — down 3-1 when he came in in the 7th. It’s a spot where you don’t want to use the studs, but want to give the bats a chance.

On the bright side, we’re out of Lopezes for the night, so we should be good to go!

The bullpen isn't that bad, it's difficult to defend tiny leads because your offense stinks.

Yet, that is their job, eh?

Giving up a run is not "failing".

Maybe the offense should consider scoring some runs now and again.

OK. When it's your job to come in and hold a lead and you give up a run, is that considered a success?

So sad that Buxton is down to one tool. Well, maybe 1 1/2. Won't steal bases, but still runs fast. A stolen base and he can't be doubled off.

Speedy Gordon could have tried to steal, too.
