I remember Mudcat Grant during the Twins' '65 WS run.  Al worthington was really one of the first exclusive relief pitchers.

Harmon: no, I think the third out is the most important out of the inning.

Rooney: then why do they say the first out is the most important out of the inning?

Harmon: I have no idea. I lost lots of games with one out in the ninth inning.
