They already had him up in the 8th in case the Yankees pushed a few across and he was up last night.  I'd rather see him throw tonight with a 4 run lead than possibly not pitch tomorrow because he got up in the pen twice in a row.  And it's the Yankees, slam the door.

I'd say an underrated play was Jeffers infield single, which gave Larnach a swing in the inning resulting in two runs. A 4-2 lead doesn't feel nearly as secure as a four run 6-2 lead.

I have no clue how you have watched the same games I have and came away with the conclusion that Larnach is playing well, but ok. The Homer tonight buys some time. He hasn't demonstrated an ability to hit major league offspeed pitching. That will be exploited until he shows he can do so. I'm not hating on the guy they really need a corner outfield bat. I don't care who is wearing the jersey...

I never said he was playing well. Your the one that posted him as an automatic out.  He does need to hit the off speed better. But you can't be playing that poorly if you're leading the team in BB and rbi's. You alluded that he needs to be shipped off for Wallner.
