He's a better player than he's shown this year. If the rest of the team can't stay healthy, then he will have to be much better for this team to contend.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Cole already at 65 pitches.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Sheesh gio having a rough go of it

He goes, Twins go back to fighting Royals and Tigers for best of the worst. We have no one in the system even close to as good as he is with his glove; the Twins would be losing even worse than they are now.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Call me crazy, but a 1-0 lead feels...tenuous.

Are we a legitimate contender or not? Maybe so in our pathetic division but the better teams in the AL are on a much different level. Everyone in the world knows we need pitching help. Sinking that much money in to one guy on a team that doesn’t have a realistic chance to compete. I don’t know, doesn’t make a ton of sense to me
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Just heard that Donaldson went on paternity leave so that answers that question. Then, it’s bizarre to me that the Yankees would carry both Stanton and LeMahieu if neither were available to even pinch hit.
RpR Verified Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 I ponder the reasoning that Arreaz is DH, and Gordon at Second with Miranda at First, MIranda has a good bat, while Arraez is a better fielder.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 So with hunting season coming up, I'm reminded of a tragic story of two of my retired USAF friends. They were out hunting when one of them clutched his chest and fell to the ground, not visibly breathing. My other friend frantically called 911 and told the story. "I think he's dead!" he cried into the phone. The 911 operator told him "Well, the first thing we need to do is make sure he's actually dead." "One sec," my friend said, dropping the phone. A couple seconds later the 911 operator heard the sound of a gunshot. My friend came back on the phone. "That should do it," he said. "Now what?"
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Judge is like the kid in Little League that is twice the size of everyone else.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Joe at 57 pitches and 0 runs given up thru 3 after that adventurous 34 pitch 1st inning has to be considered a major win at this point
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Garlick is lost without a compass

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Garlick and Cave vs Cole. The Yankees defense should have just stayed in the dugout
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Garlick should never see a RH pitcher, much less Garrett Cole, but given the options there isn't much Rocco can do. I'd take Garlick over Hamilton even if Garlick had a cast on one leg and two broken wrists.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Great googily moogily that was a man vs boys
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 I’ve been watching a TV series with my wife. I asked her if she wanted to watch another episode. She said not now, so I said no problem, I can watch this horror movie, so I switched to the Twins game.
Beast Verified Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 I had to take a step back and play some golf tonight vs watching this game (my golf game wasn’t any less frustrating than the Twins, but another story). I return to see Correa has two xbhs with nobody on. Sigh. I will say there’s some great jokes being written here, though. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

CRF Verified Member Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Anybody else hate that whistling sound they play when one of the opponents...in this case us...strikes out? I can't tell you how that bugs me! Everything about the effing Yankees bugs me!!!

But without, you know, the humor, good will, or redeeming resolution.
