Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 A decent spot start for Sanchez. Offense needs to show up.

Can't really complain about the start. I don't understand the offense and their inconsistency, other than they have zero starting OFers starting...
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 With Garlick now adding to the pile of injured outfielders, I really hope the Twins pick up some rental type at the very least...
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I wonder if folks on Tigers Daily are mad that Skubal only went 5 innings?
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Yet again, the offense fails to show up. For a team so lacking in clutch hitting, not that big a surprise Sigh!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Just now, Danchat said: I wonder if folks on Tigers Daily are mad that Skubal only went 5 innings? They should be because he was dominant and only had 77 pitches
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Running out of time to use the “Yeah but we’re still in first place” tagline

Anyone else? I was trying to think one up for the Twins half of the sixth, but… …but the inning was over before hits started.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 (You have to say it out loud - so sounds like the common phrase “over before it started” … with the context that the Twins did not get any hits)
cHawk Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Why can’t we hit a lick against these guys?

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 We are all always saying that we need 1-2 relief pitchers capable of 2-3 innings, Alright Rocco lets see Cotten start the 8th, PLEEZ

Who is/are the Twins hitting coach/es? I like it better when so many here complained about 1 run - home runs.

Just, the hitting. The TIgers have a greater aggregate number of left-on-base.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 What's going on with the AK and Garlick?

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Just a non competitive at bat by Gary.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Meanwhile the other Sanchez playing to expected form; might be a good idea to have more than one viable catcher available?

Garlick hurt his rib or something and AK can't swing with his wrist....AK was apparently good with all non-swinging activities though so hence the odd moves so far. Interesting to see if Beckham is going to try to play outfield?

Lacking in clutch hitting in general, as we just saw another example of. A general inability to have productive at-bats with runners in scoring position, at least to me, constitutes a general lack of clutch hitting.
