So essentially we have two guys in the rotation who will never be allowed to go more than 5 innings unless it’s a blowout in our favor? Yeah, no
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 The fact that people cannot comprehend why a bad starter with bad numbers the third time through the order is pulled is baffling, especially when you consider where baseball is in 2022 as a whole and we're in year 4 of Rocco

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 It's been pretty clear for a while now the plan with the starters, particularly the bottom of the rotation, is to limit their exposure. It's Dylan Bundy. 5 good innings is fine.

Yeah, no He’s the #5 starter, and #6 starter when we had a 6 man rotation. Yeah, he’s a 5 and fly guy if the game is close. I have no problem with that logic at all.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Aaaaand here we go. this is the plan though, folks, can’t deviate from it
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Jax with no control over the slider. Now is the time to go to Duran, Rocco

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Literally it’s like Charlie Brown and the football expecting these guys to get so many outs in tight games.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 What a ******* awful pitch to Moncada.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 All the smart % moves, including shifts. Swallowing the Twins up. How is 2022 ball working for you now?

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 terrible pitch location with the shift on,
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 And here I thought my 8-5-3 triple play spot on my Twingo Card had no chance.
AstrosTwins Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 That triple play was in Rocco’s pitching plan for sure!!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Author Posted July 5, 2022 Was that really a triple play because runners don't know what Byron can do in the outfield?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Just like they practice it every day.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Man, if only the White Sox had a old-school, fundamentally sound manager who made them practice baserunning more! Oh wait...
