IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Ooh, I’m staying around on the ChiSox broadcast — the LaRussa postgame interview should be great!

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Because the 1 st run was unearned , does duran get a save ?
wabene Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Where's the guy who called the loss in the 6th inning? Ghosted on outta here I guess. Called a sweep in fact.
Longdistancetwins Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Fireworks in my neighborhood just started. Nice timing!
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Strike 3. But how does Anderson just give up on that last pitch. I believe the whitesox are done. Maybe the Twins could get Hendricks outta there.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 And Cleveland loses a double header to....... DETROIT!

wabene Verified Member Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Somehow Rocco bungled his way into having Duran for the 10th.

If it’s a three-run game, it will be a save, since the tying run is on deck when then inning starts. If it’s a four-run game, I don’t think you deserve a save coming in with just a runner on second.

One can argue that identical work yields differing results. If you blow it, do you deserve a blown save? And at the least, it is inelegant if the special 3 run 1 inning case is covered by the other situation. Meh. It is book keeping at this point though , so not really that important.

Circular reasoning Sammy says how many other base running blunders result in triple plays? It was rather special considering how much of a team effort it was.
