Uncle - we can’t compete with the Astros -  can we just forfeit and move on to tomorrows game?

I’m not sure they can compete with anyone, the winning streak was a fluke

I remain hopeful that this will help the Twins by showing them what they need to do to compete with the top teams.

They need to do a lot better at the plate and on the mound.  That will require focus and a lot of hard work.

I do want to mention that I have a special spot in my heart for Niko Goodrum. I believe it was Spring Training of 2016 (maybe 2015) and I sat next to Niko's dad at a minor league game. His dad was pulling for him and hoping he would just get a chance to play somewhere. Niko had kind of gotten lost in the shuffle in the minors. Anyway, dad talked about how hard he worked and what he had to offer (speed, power and versatility) and sure enough he made his debut with the Twins in 2017. Niko had been a high draft but really didn't find his way for a while in the minors. His dad wore a sweat suit and had a few chains, kind of stood out among all of us who were wearing tee shirts and shorts. Just about every big league player is a success story in the big picture, especially if their personal life isn't a mess.

Lessons they should have learned over the last few years, I’m not so hopeful

I love hearing stories about fans meeting players' families!!

I think it's pretty safe to say...our team of minor leaguers, isn't even close to the Stros team of major leaguers. Maybe...MAYBE, if we had everyone healthy, we could compete with them, or another good team. Right now, there's no chance. We'll be back at .500, or below, before you know it.

Maybe Correa can take a leadership role in teaching the younger players what they need to know to compete at that level.

So who goes back to St. Paul first, Kirilloff or Miranda? Before today, I was pretty sure it was Kirilloff, now I'm not too sure.

Yes!

This series is bringing back bad flashbacks of the 2020 playoffs.   At least offensively - Getting runners on but not delivering the big hit.

Yup, it's fun to see all the young unproven talent and have them sweep a series against the A's, but the club needs to get healthy if they want to consistently win games. Not to make too big a deal about it, but the 2021 Twins won a series in Houston (which was on their way to the WS) last year. There is something to it's not who you play, it's when you play them (except for Twins vs. Yankees--that never has seemed to matter).

Two hours and ten minutes so far, and we're only in the 5th. Pitch clock please!

Seems like they already played 10 innings today.

It's only 3 games, and the Twins are really beat up, but feels like each game has been over before it even started. Just completely out classed in every single facet of the game, including base running, which everyone seems to think is overrated for some reason.

It seems the Twins aren't getting bludgeoned, so much as having a pillow put over their face and smothered.

Death by a thousand cuts

Maybe add some fabric softener when laundering the pillow cases, next time.

Nasty storm likely on the way to the Twin Cities. I'm in Sioux Falls  with 80-90 mph winds, dark as night. Temp was 93 half an hour ago now it's 73. Good thing is it's moving really fast.
