Winner, winner chicken dinner! Taking the girls for Mother's Day dinner at Coalition in Excelsior. If any TD fans are there I'll buy drinks! Beer only (no White Russians, Manhattan's, Whiskey sour's, etc.)

Phew! Fortunately I was able to negate Squirrel's negation of ash's reverse jinx. You're welcome.

I just hope there’s no animosity between you and Squirrel. ?

would he spontaneously combust if he had to?

It’s just that he was limited to about 15 innings last year due to elbow issues.

Great jinx, Ash

You were saying?

Like with his predecessor Fernando Rodney, the Emilio Pagan Experience does not operate under the normal laws of physics.  You just watch, and accept.

WHEW! Please get the big guns healthy by Tues.

Celestino was 3 for 3 today, so maybe Buxton can DH on Tues.

Not how I would use him either. I like him going 2 innings. That is the whole problem with the closer concept, you can't use them everyday. Today they brought in Duff for the 3-4-5, fireman. I like that concept.

I disagree. two innings every 2-3 days IMO is much more of a load than an inning on back to back days. just speaking as a former pitcher.

he threw 2 on april 30, had one day off, then threw an inning, had two days off, then 2/3, then one day off and then 2. that's a lot of work in a week's time

I didn't say 2 innings every time. I just think matchups are the way to go and if a guy is rolling, be open to him going two. The whole closer thing just doesn't register with me. Maybe when I was first watching baseball the save meant something, but as time goes on I don't agree with the rigid role mindset.

It’s not for “saves”, as in a stat. It’s so that a guy who can’t throw strikes (pagan) isn’t on the mound in a one run game in the last inning.

While I don't mind doing that (4-3 Twins after 5 innings): wouldn't it be easier to just open Gameday?

Btw, blackouts in Maine don't make sense.

But then I would miss all the scintillating comments!  ?
