RpR Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Well Buxton can hit a triple and score Celestino and maybe stretch it into a inside the park homer. Or not.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 POLO! I was worried about the health after the ankle beating and the tag at second, but swing looked good right there.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 After last year, I believe in Polanco in clutch situations.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 And the Twins give the lead right back. Ryan has not been sharp, but he's given up a ton of weak hits.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Orioles have some good pitchers. Twins have an excess of good position players. Maybe there is a trade that could help both teams?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Ya know, is it too much to ask to show some ruthlessness and not give the run back right away? Can they at least wait an inning?
Sielk Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Not Joe's best day. Command not quite as good as usual and that horrible batted ball luck certainly didn't help.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Orioles calling time so often is rather annoying.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Sorry I'm late. It is taco Tuesday at the Narrows Bar and Grill. Back in time to see Correa make a great play at 2nd base! Go Twins!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 What a play by Correa, and a grab by Ryan. Probably not advised to throw it like that, but it worked.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 This defensive squad reminds me a little of the 91 Twins....
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Joe is lucky he didn’t get seriously hurt on that liner back to him. And getting the out is a major plus.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Orioles are having some of the best BABIP luck I've seen in a while.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Probably one of Ryan's worst starts. Wasn't really getting swings and misses, and didn't have great command. He kept the Orioles from hitting much hard, but gave up quite a few hits. Just a weird start. The defense didn't do him any favors, but they also made some tough plays as well. Gotta hope the B bullpen can bring this one home, or that the Twins put up 6 or 7 runs.

Not going to have it every night. He did a pretty decent job of minimizing the damage though.

I'm guessing Twins are good for at least 5 more runs. BP: 2 hits, zero runs. Just a prediction.
RpR Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Balitmore took a series from the Yankees so they are far from a push-over.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 As expected, Thielbar gets the third out on three pitches!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Great job by Thielbar. That's what he did so well last year. Death to left handers.

To get out of it with only 2 runs given up is a plus. Plus, if you aren't going to have "it" it's best to be against a team like Baltimore.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 I took a break to eat dinner. Why did Larnach come in for Kepler?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Gary! He's been better than I expected both offensively and defensively. Also, if we weren't playing in the dumbest LF possible, that's a homer.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 I would have liked for Ryan to try to get that third out to get his 5 innings and maybe pick up a win if the team scores in the 6th.
RpR Verified Member Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 OK , Larnach has been some what of a doubles machine, time for one.
