RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Ok, that's our error for the week. Let's buckle down, and put it behind us.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 The Minnesota fan in me is getting nervous listening to Morneau's praise of Ryan.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 You can see a little difference in strategy. Hitters are taking more pitches from Ryan. Making him work a little more.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Pitcher = Ryan. Catcher = Ryan. Batter = Ryan.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 First official chance for Miranda after he was "involved" in two previous plays.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Okay Bremar and Morneau, now that you got Joe Ryan in the hall of fame, after the inning, how about just letting the Kid pitch from hear on
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 How did Joe Ryan get buried in Tampa’s minor system? Kind of mind blowing.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 That might have been strike five to Kepler.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Let's hope for a smoother second inning for Ryan.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 More hit batters than batters getting hits.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 At this rate Ryan will hit nine batters in the game.

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Wow! What a play by Correa. That was incredible.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Looks like another low-scoring game.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Potential Unpopular Opinion Alert. Byron Buxton should never attempt to steal a base again (unless the Twins need a run in a do-or-die game). Buxton advancing 90ft is by far the least valuable thing he does, and puts him at injury risk. I'd rather he minimize the risk of injuries as much as possible, so his bat and glove are in the lineup as much as possible.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 The home plate ump is not having a good game.

HIs ability to steal is another threat other teams do not like, remove that, they love it.

I wouldn't go that far and I think the Twins and Buxton are pretty conservative about Buxton stealing bases. He has the raw speed to steal 100, but 20 is more reasonable.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Getting in late. Doesn't look like I've missed much
