The subsequent hit makes the first run earned, but the throwing error changed the inning. Very true, yet it still seems fortunate to get out of there allowing only one run.

Good question, the answer appears to be yes, as he's had 61 steals from his 2016-2019 seasons. He did have a more modest 14/22 SB attempt rate in 2019, however.

wavedog Verified Member Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Awesome, we have 3 hits and 1 run in 6 innings. Who could expect more against the caliber of pitchers they are throwing at us.
twinfan Verified Member Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Watching this game (probably the last game I'll get to see unless they are on National TV) is making me sick. Cruz singles and Larnich is up and NOBODY is on the left side. My call as manager is to bunt to third. At worst, you have 1 out and a man at second. At best (probable) you have 2 on with no outs. Then the O's bring in a rule 5 pitcher that batters have a .270 average against and he gives up 80% fly balls and we make him look like an all-star. Dobnack is getting hit hard, gets a visit from the pitching coach, has thrown decent sliders all night but throws a meatball slider to Stewart for a home run the throws 2 VERY GOOD SLIDERS on the next 2 pitches right after that. I'm shaking my head in disbelief. It's bad enough that we have a minor league bottom of the order but this is sickening. This season appears over. Wait til next year. This team doesn't appear competitive at all. And now they are in our bad bullpen. Yuck!
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 At this stage the season is not recoverable, but the future can be seen so even if they do not produce tonight the Jeffers, Celestino, Gordon, Larnach, Kiriloff lineup is exciting and I am ready to see them grow.

mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 We even got to see our prospect Tyler Wells. Wait he is no longer with us, but we have a bunch of waiver wire pick ups.
