Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Who’s next in St Paul to call up? Are we really keeping Stashak in this game?
Danchat Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 How does Stashak get so many chances despite looking terrible, yet Alcala can never get into a game when we have the lead?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 This will actually be the last straw for me. If they blow this game, this will be my last game thread and last time watching the Twins for 2021.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Colome is warming haha at this point you just have to embrace it
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 A good bit of rain coming towards the stadium. Probably wouldn’t end the night, though
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Mother nature looks like it’s coming to help us end the game before our bullpen blows the lead.
D.C Twins Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I can feel it coming in the aiiiiir toooniiiiight!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Looking at radar. It's not much rain. Game will finish

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Better call the game. It is only safe. Shucks.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 (image from Back to the Future)And for your rain delay entertainment i suggest (in stereo!) "Roads, where we're going we don't need... roads"
Danchat Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 So... if the game ends here, do we credit God / Mother Nature with the save?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Man, I like Justin but he’s painstakingly boring
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 The Twins have a chance...if the umps call it in the 6th.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 And for your rain delay entertainment i suggest (in stereo!) "Roads, where we're going we don't need... roads" A better metaphor for this club is when Biff drives in to the manure truck.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 I wanted Stashak demoted long ago...My guess is he will after this game, kind of like Waddell

Oh well. I was more thinking along the lines of the pitcher catcher conference on the mound, and our pitcher saying "what if i threw a slider out of the zone and he doesn't swing at it? Ya know, i don't think i could take that kind of rejection!"
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Cabrera and Baddoo both with hitless skids in the mid-twenties and surprise! they both get hits. The Twins are baseball’s slump-busters.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 What would be fitting is if the game resumed, the Twins fell behind in the bottom of the 7th, and then the game was called — thus adding another 7 inning loss to our record.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Anybody here with MLB.TV? They have a stream called “Big Inning” on weeknights where they look in at various games and show highlights. I’m just checking it out for the first time now in the rain delay: https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/big-inning

jun Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Pretty much every move Rocco made this season went wrong. It almost feels like he gets paid by the other team.

bighat Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 So, if they call it will it resume tomorrow? I always was curious about those games that get "resumed" vs. those that get "called". Why, sometimes, do games continue the next day and other times they are just called and booked?
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Cleveland vs Cincinnati - Plesac and Miley pitching. 8th inning both pitchers carrying no-hitters. Both pitchers over 100 pitches. Weren't they supposed to get the hook in the 6th??
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Whoops! Stand corrected. Only Plesac with a no-hitter.
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Whoops whoops. Gameday shows Miley gave up 3 hits, but box score shows no Cleveland batter has a hit.
