Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 That also seemed like the Buster Posey rule, Trivino blocked the plate. Plus he never tagged him.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Well, that's it for Buxton. Now batting under .400

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Baseball is entertaining when you can put the ball in play!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Kirfiloff sent his dad his first homerun ball. He also sent his jock to his mom. He had to call her and tell her he just wanted her to wash it. He's buying her a Honda Civic! I haven't seen that one before.....

He can’t get her an Accord?

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Nice bounceback inning from Kenta..about the best he's looked all year
jkcarew Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Hey! An ‘efficient’ 16-pitch inning. Baby steps.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 That also seemed like the Buster Posey rule, Trivino blocked the plate. Plus he never tagged him.In my view Trevino was where he was because he had to be there to field the throw. The ball and Arraez arrived at nearly the same time so I don't think obstruction could be called. I'll also add that it was a lazy call by the ump. He never saw a tag but he just assumed that if the catcher had the ball in his glove then the runner must be out.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Donaldson's fielding isn't talked about enough

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Kirilloff looks as though he is wearing an older brother's baseball cap.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Donaldson's fielding isn't talked about enoughsure it is, just ask him.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Gotta think that may be it for King Kenta...not his best performance, but better than we've seen lately. Command started off shaky, and never got like we saw it last year, but it improved thoughout the game
bighat Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Gritty performance by Maeda here. Bullpen should be up soon, Twins might want to think about adding a couple runs!
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Enough of these first pitch infield grounders. I want balls in the air.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Yes. The best bullpen option to get through four innings, is...to score several more runs.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Maeda showing he’s a real pitcher tonight. He doesn’t have his best stuff. Far from it. But he’s getting through 5 innings at least with the lead.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Send him out for another inning Rocco
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 ?"Local blackout restrictions apply" ... that's what it says on the channels the game should be on

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 If the bench staff thought Maeda had found his touch, the first pitch of the sixth inning probably convinced them that this was his last batter, regardless of outcome. There is something amiss.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Thielbar is not a major league pitcher...
jkcarew Verified Member Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Apparently, we’re woefully short of lefties that Rocco trusts in the BP.
