Rocco:  I didn't see it

reporter: excuse me?

Rocco: I didn't see it, I was checking the junk drawer in the dugout, looking for a battery for my laptop.

report: catch you at the post game

Kirfiloff sent his dad his first homerun ball.  He also sent his jock to his mom.  He had to call her and tell her he just wanted her to wash it.  He's buying her a Honda Civic!

I haven't seen that one before.....

A Civic!? His signing bonus was $2.8M. He making (a prorated) plus $570k while he’s in the majors.

He can’t get her an Accord?

Rumor has it, he had it pimped out.

That also seemed like the Buster Posey rule, Trivino blocked the plate. Plus he never tagged him.

In my view Trevino was where he was because he had to be there to field the throw. The ball and Arraez arrived at nearly the same time so I don't think obstruction could be called. I'll also add that it was a lazy call by the ump. He never saw a tag but he just assumed that if the catcher had the ball in his glove then the runner must be out.

But umpires are qualified professionals with eagle-eyes who'd never miss something like that or an obvious call at first base that would simultaneously cost a pitcher both a perfect game and no-hitter and be the impetus for the replay rule in the first place, right?

Gotta think that may be it for King Kenta...not his best performance, but better than we've seen lately. Command started off shaky, and never got like we saw it last year, but it improved thoughout the game

Gritty performance by Maeda here.

Bullpen should be up soon, Twins might want to think about adding a couple runs!

Enough of these first pitch infield grounders. I want balls in the air.

Maeda showing he’s a real pitcher tonight. He doesn’t have his best stuff. Far from it. But he’s getting through 5 innings at least with the lead.

?

"Local blackout restrictions apply" ... that's what it says on the channels the game should be on

If the bench staff thought Maeda had found his touch, the first pitch of the sixth inning probably convinced them that this was his last batter, regardless of outcome. There is something amiss.
