cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 one bad day at the plate... who thenBuxton
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 For the second day in a row, I'm surprised Francona has kept his starter out there so long when he's got a great bullpen. Both times the starter has given up a run in their last inning.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Buxtonuntil he has a bad day? Buxton s gonna bat third, where he should be
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 until he has a bad day? Buxton s gonna bat third, where he should neArraez has been slightly cold as of late.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Buxton boosting that trade value! We’re not trading him, even if we lose 100
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Arraez has been slightly cold as of late.everybody gets cold, it’s a long season
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 everybody gets cold, it’s a long seasonTru dat
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Gotta love the Cleveland crowd booing--why wouldn't you intentionally unintentionally walk Cruz here? If he wants to swing at a bad pitch to give you a free strike, let him, but why give him a pitch to hit?
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Was that Rosario batting there?
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Oh wow. Colome. At least it isn’t the 9th.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 losing by 1 in the 9th 8th = low leverage spot? Alright then, Rocco
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Dick audibly sighs while announcing Colome is coming in. Lol.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 We’re not trading him, even if we lose 100But maybe if he doesn’t play in 100. Again.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 How many runs does our closer give up tonight?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Rocco must have a prop bet on Reyes hitting 3 bombs
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Let’s not throw batting practice plz
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 But maybe if he doesn’t play in 100. Again. They will trade Berrios before Buxton
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Yeah, Rocco isn’t the problemThat’s right. He’s only using what Falvine is giving him. EDIT: It literally autocorrected Falvine to “Falcons.” Smh
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Rocco must think this game is lost. This is mop up work for Colome, I guess.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 So this is considered lower leverage innings for Colome, eh?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 SOOOOOO....I heard today from multiple sources that Colome was being moved to "low leverage" situations for a while. I guess down 1 in the 8th is now "low leverage" to Rocco. Which, given the offense, I can't say I totally disagree. A 1 run deficit seems like a pretty tall mountain to climb. edit: ninja'd by most everyone in the game thread and several people walking down my street outside.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 That’s right. He’s only using what Falvine is giving him.EDIT: It literally autocorrected Falvine to “Falcons.” SmhNow?! He’s got no other options for a one run game in the 8th inning when he pitched yesterday? That’s a wild assessment edit, he did only throw two pitches yesterday, but the point stands
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Now?! He’s got no other options for a one run game in the 8th inning when he pitched yesterday? That’s a wild assessmentWho else should go out there
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 The ump giving Colome a gift is a "good sign for Colome"? Come on, Roy. That was a ball all the way.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 JUST THROW STRIKES FFSHe threw a strike last night. How'd THAT work out??? HMMMMMMMMMM???????
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 But maybe if he doesn’t play in 100. Again.I don’t see how anyone without incredible depth can sign Buxton long term if he can’t play 100 games a season. Aaron Judge theoretically should be getting Bryce Harper money in free agency. Yet, he will have a hard time getting a long term deal for the same reason as Buxton. Limited availability.
