sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 The run pump is primed. Let's just keep a-pumping and fill the trough.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Nice to see the Lefties going opposite field - kudos to Cave for changing his approach.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 On the other hand we are trying to break the K record for the Catcher position.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Walp. That lead was nice while it lasted...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Has Cleveland employed an infield shift for any of the Twins RH hitters? I'm to the point where it seems odd to me to see a 2nd baseman playing second base.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Must be fun to be a fan of any team playing the Twins. You get to watch your team come back and win every night!
Diesel Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Author Posted April 27, 2021 Maeda can't miss that badly
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 We all just assumed maeda would be reliable. But he’s clearly broken
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 At least, Maeda is having fun. Nice smile after giving up the satellite.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Circus Boy Update: 2-2 after 2.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 I have this sinking feeling the offense has already had its big explosion for the night.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 So Mad Bum threw a no hitter today. Except, not really. Because of the 7 inning double header rule.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 So Mad Bum threw a no hitter today. Except, not really. Because of the 7 inning double header rule.ANOTHER one?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Can someone confirm, because it feels like an eternity ago. Maeda looked good in spring training?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Double? That's okay. We need all the practice we can get at stranding runners at second.
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 How does Maeda go from untouchable in Spring Training to throwing meatballs and struggling with control like this? Just bizarre.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Can someone confirm, because it feels like an eternity ago. Maeda looked good in spring training?Very good this spring, per B-Ref: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/maedake01.shtml
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Not a good route on that, at all
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Perhaps Kirilloff won’t be a long term answer in the OF...
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Maybe Kirilloff really need did more seasoning at AAA to work on his fielding skills?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Stop with the "had a long way to go" excuse, Roy. He not only got there, he actually slowed down at the end. Didn't even have to reach. That ball has to be caught.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 It's going to be a long season. The Twins don't show any sign of breaking out of this horrendous play.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 So right now the twins are going into games with a bad offense, shaky starting pitching, no bullpen, and guys playing out of position or just bad defensively. I’m not well versed in analytics, but I don’t think that’s a recipe for success
