Nice job, Eddie! :)

 

Despite being a little lucky I found Odo's inning encouraging. He was generating a lot of whiffs with his high fastball again. It's just eye test but his last starts left me with the impression that he hadn't really managed that.

Anybody else notice the difference in Buxton's swing now? His wrist flip is so sweet, it's almost poetic. Easy power, like a pro golfer. Totally letting the stick do all the work. Reminds me a little of Kenny Landreau.

Alas, no i didn't. Mostly 'cause previous seasons i've mostly not had video.

Has to be hard to come back only to get shut down by something that stupid. Hope it's not too big of an issue.

Looks pretty bad to me. I mean not for a construction worker or auto mechanic. But for an MLB pitcher could be the season for him.

My perhaps shaky recollection is this has been a chronic problem for Odo. You periodically see him looking at his hand between pitches, any game you watch.

Pretry common problem, I think, for pitchers not working regularly.  They were saying that all along on the White Sox broadcast (Steve Stone, I think?). I also just recently read Jim Brosnan’s book The Long Season, and he mentions blister problems.
