Well done, Cody.

 

I also agree, this HP ump has been great. A shame we can't have him for the rest of the season.

Dick has been fixated on Sano's career total of 99 doubles. I think he's said at least 3 times that it would be a good time for his 100th double. I'll take a dinger over a double any time.

TWINS WIN!!!

 

The bullpen was perfect through 5.1 innings, and the bats provided the power we were used to last year. Great to see us bounce back. After winning one must win, we have to double down tomorrow.

That bullpen performance was a breath of fresh air and with Maeda on the mound tomorrow, we can hope for a similar performance from him.

 

A shame that Odo had the finger issue.  He seemed to have settled right back in to his normal self.

The past hoped for nucleus brought it tonight.  Buck, Rosario, and Sano.  Anyone who doesn't think Rosario is a CORE piece of the team is 'fishing with no bait.'  His .310+ BA with RISP is EXACTLY what you have to have to win.  Is it a surprise that he is leading the team in RBIs?  I love Buck's potential - he just HAS to stay healthy.  Lastly, the BEAST known as Sano is just one of those guys - feast or famine.  He can certainly launch a ball like few I have ever seen and completely change a game after some feeble at-bats. 

 

OTOH: Kepler and Donaldson need to step up, and it may be time that our rookie catcher is the permanent starter.  He is just TOO GOOD offensively, defensively, and calling a game to be on the bench anymore other than needed rest.  He will push Garver to be primary C as soon as he comes back (and next year).
