Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Not a chance at this point, I'm thinking it's going to be Berrios, Odorizzi, and then we're going with the "opener" type pitchers/bullpen games the whole way. would you dare start Berrios game 4 on short rest? Or two opener/bp games in a row like Cleveland?
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Thank you for your time, Gibbles. Let's all move on.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Give me a break. Gibby just refuses to throw strikes with runners on, his breaking stuff isn't fooling anyone.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 If this dude physically can’t pitch why the F is he in There?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Three hits and three walks in this inning and Gibson is still pitching.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 would you dare start Berrios game 4 on short rest? Or two opener/bp games in a row like Cleveland? At this point, the Twins won't be in the ALDS, they're going to be fighting for a wild card before it's all said and done.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 If Gibson doesn't get Mondesi, you have to pull him, right? Guess that's a no.....
bighat Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 And he's left in there to pitch to KC's best batter....can't see this ending well.
BD57 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 he has no confidence in his stuff - perhaps deservedly - and therefore does not want to throw strikes.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Just DFA him after the game. No need to even roster Gibson anymore. Twins FO reallllllyyyy messed up not trading for a starter at the deadline. Pathetic management move.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I didn't realize Soler has 45 HRs this year. Yikes.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Unbelievable, w.t.f. do ya do ? get Dobnak warmed up after Littell
tvagle Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Are you ready for some football?
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 No way in h*** Gibson makes the postseason roster. I'm so done with this guy.I am not interested in seeing him in Twins uniform next season.
BD57 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 it's 3 inches outside .... when you don't throw strikes, you don't get that pitch
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Minnesota sports gonna Minnesota sports. I don’t know what else to say
BD57 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I am not interested in seeing him in Twins uniform next season. I'm not interested in seeing him in a Twins uniform 5 minutes from now. Pitches scared the minute he gets a baserunner.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I'm not picking on you, howeda, when I say this ... but I have seen this throughout the season ... that this is a 'must win' game. I think every game is a must win in that we need to accumulate wins, not that it's dire. I don't really believe in the 'must' unless we are on the verge of elimination. Go out and win as many as we can, that's my directive, not that it's a 'must' situation. It hasn't been a must situation all season long. The must only comes in, as I said, if we are on the verge of elimination. We aren't. Yeah, I'd feel better knowing we were already there. And yeah, stuff can still happen, badly. And yeah, we could win the next 4 and Cleveland lose the next 3 and we'd be done. But ... a must win? Wasn't then, isn't now. But we still need to win as many as we still can. So ... win already, Twins! This is semantics and its in the eye of the beholder. Many of us feel that there are games you really have to win...BEFORE you fall off the cliff. I choose to also find these games 'must wins'...mainly because the Twins may not even get to the end of the line in 1st place...unless they win now.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 ENOUGH! Oddly, I'm happy about the walk. I was thinking it was going to be a grand slam.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 With Soler I guess that's not that bad of an outcome.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You suck, Gibson!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 That is just brutal.....there is no excuse for that bs.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Gibson is going to walk the whole Royals lineup...
BD57 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Every time we put him out there, he puts us in a hole.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Morning dude! All the best with your classes today, the week's almost over for ya!Sadly, it's not. Tomorrow, and next Saturday, too, we will be interviewing prospective students for Primary 1 next year. I will spend 8AM to 6PM 2 Saturdays in a row 'interviewing' hundreds of 5 year olds. It will be like being in the stands when Gibby gets the start, and last pretty much the same amount of time. *Sob* But wait! It's not so bad! They're making up for it by rewarding us with next Monday off from teaching duties, and instead, of day of team-building workshops and activities! Yay.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 If this dude physically can’t pitch why the F is he in There?Ya with how Rocco is with the guys, Gibsons health is a zero issue, Mental health different story, All in his head, ooozes out of him, Silly
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Seriously, if he’s physically not healthy enough to pitch he should not be pitching. God bless but wtf here.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Things getting tighter day by day (the standings and the team). Luckily, everyone has been plenty rested and we throw away every other game with assenine lineups and bullpen usage.
