VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 LaMarre now hitting a torrid .333.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Nice hit LaMarre!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I'd start by looking at 2nd and 3rd base...should give you a good startI knew I could count on you!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 This is a troublesome trend. Twins fall behind every game. And clearly Gibson is gassed and should be shut down. His performance tonite was borderline disgraceful. I mean...they guy couldn't throw strikes and put his team in a deep hole early.I hope the Twins realize that in a few hours they may very well have a 3 game lead. THEN, will some agree that these have become must wins for a team that wants to compete in post season? We barely won the Chicago series...and already 3 behind the nearly 100 loss Royals...meanwhile Cleveland is taking care of business as they should. this is clearly no fun.Hmm. I bet it is for the players

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Really?.........with 2 outs in the 4th and Garver up against a lefty?
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Well... at least Garver gets to start with a fresh count.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Game threads are way more fun when this team is bad at baseball. Wow. Peace out everyone.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Not a horrible attempt, Garver gets a new count
gocgo Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 BTW, I'm not buying the Indians. They are 23-35 against teams with .500 or greater. Granted, we are 32-37, but a couple of those were close games against the Yankees. If the Indians want in, they have to win against 2 >.500 teams in the next 3 series and I don't think they can do it. If they want the division, they have to win 3 or 4 more games than us in the next 9. If we win 5, they have to win 8 or 9. It's not happening. If we win 3 against Detroit and KC, they have to win 6-7....maybe, but the numbers say they will only win 2 or 3 of the 6 against Philly and Washington which means they will need to sweep the White Sox on the road...I'm just not worried.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 That was a perfect throw. I like the steal call though. I think the Twins need to do more of that next year.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Way to take the bat out of Garver's hands there!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Way to take the bat out of Garver's hands there!he gets it back
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Rocco - ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Thorpe - really
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 It would be nice if Thorpe could get through this inning without giving up a run.

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Haven't we seen enough of Lewis Thorpe yet?
tvagle Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Leave him in for another AB so he can even his BAA at .500
70charger Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Thorpe's getting hit pretty hard here. Does anyone know who's warming up now?
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Don't mind LaMarre trying to get into scoring position..a good risk and now Garver leads off the next inning.Since Gibson came back from the IL he has been awful. No point in putting him in the pen...he has gone bad early in all his appearances so what's the point? Both Sox and Royals have been getting leadoff hitters on with scary regularity.Get Thorpe the heck out of there. Twins are going to be playing from behind again because their pitching tonite has been little league.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Sorry cant watch this ,, Why oh Why we got other people
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 This is on Rocco. No reason Thorpe should have been sent back out there.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Six hits in two innings is.....impressive.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Thorpe is just a.left-handed Gibson.

The twins, meanwhile, struggle to win home series against bad teams.
