Sure, anything is possible, but after tonight the Twins have literally the weakest schedule in baseball through the end of the season.

Indians have 4 against KC, 3 against HOU, and 3 against LA. Indians probably go 7-3 at best.

 

Twins have 4 CWS, 3 MIA, and 3 Royals.  Twins should go 7-3 at worst.

 

I expect the Twins to make up at least two games over the next 10 games.

Angels

Rangers

@Minnesota

Boston

@Yankees

 

That takes them through the middle of August. Good luck with that, kids. Three weeks without a facing a single team under .500 as of today.

Yes. Rogers and Duffey have pitched three of the past four nights, Harper three straight. Stashak just threw 30 pitches last night. Thorpe 39 the night before that. 

 

I'd think the only three guys they really feel OK about using right now are May, Smeltzer and Torres.

Provus just said that Perkins tweeted that last nights loss was his fault. The idea being that Terry Ryan was so smitten after the HR Perkins gave up to Murphy in 2015 that Ryan thought it would be a good move to trade Hicks for him.

Had to let Jake finish the inning. You aren't winning this game, so no reason to pull him. Smeltzer will give us three innings. Torres 2, and May one. We will have two more pitchers up here tomorrow, probably Poppen and Romero.
